    The NH35 costs around 30 dollars on its own, so I'd call this a great deal, even though the dimensions are a bit questionable.
    Btw. if you buy cheap dress watches from Cadisen or Starking always take one with a Japanese movement, unless you don't mind opening and regulating the movement yourself. They frequently throw the Chinese ones out without any regulation at all, running 3 minutes fast or 2 minutes slow or something similarly outrageous. Don't get me wrong, they usually CAN be regulated to a good performance, but if you don't want to bother or are too clumsy better stay away.
    Other things to watch out with Chinese movments: If it's a clone of a Miyota (like the high beat ones) it will usually have a similar annoying rotor spin. If it's based on a Chinese Standard Movement the automatic winding will be quite poor and unable to completely wind up to full ~40h power reserve without hand winding.

    • @MeanE
      @MeanE Před 3 lety

      I only buy Aliexpress watches with an Seiko NH35, NH36 and the rare NH38 movement. Rotor noise on Miyota or Miyota clones drives me crazy and you have no clue what you are getting with a Chinese movement...could be good...could be bad...and you don't know until you get it.
      Edit: If you do pick up a quartz watch the Seiko vh31 movement is also great...high beat sweep and much better than most one tick per second of everything else..

      Missile Man I have purchased 4 automatic watches from ALI two running Chinese movements and two running NH35. One of the ones running the Chinese movement was questionable but it was only $35 US the other Chinese movement cost ~50 US and runs like a champ. It is a Corgeaut flieger. The other two were about $100 US each and are amazing. I have purchased two quartz watches from ALI, one Chinese no name quartz movement and the other a seiko mecha quartz. The Chinese special was 20US and junk. The Parnis with the Seiko was 50 US and is amazing. Stay away from the cheaper Chinese movements (quartz and auto) and you should be fine. Cadisen really needs input from people like you. I agree w/ all your comments (over-sized dial, 21mm lug-to-lug, crap strap, etc.) except one -- I'd categorize this watch more as a fashion watch. The design says "dress" but its oversize says "bling". For me that translates not to "everyday" but "fashion". I agree w/ you that if Cadisen fixed the major sizing problems that they'd have a home-run on their hands.

  • @DovidSal
    @DovidSal Před 3 lety +2

    I think it is a great watch to be considered. The finishing of the back with printings and the one around of the case with brushing and polishing have nothing to envy to any other microbranded watch in the same class (dressing) that is sold for , at least, $200.
    Actually, the fact of being $60, opens a lot of possibilities for the buyer since it leaves room to buy another matching strap / band.
    42 mm / 21mm lug is fine - I have seen these models going 41 / 20
    Again, when I see these prices / products , I wonder about How much money are we over paying ?... anyways...

    I have a similar 42/21 Cadisen (C8143), and I love it! It's a bit on the large side, but thanks to that, it is very easy to read, and it is very, very comfortable. This one has been on my wish list for a while, I think I'll pull the trigger sooner or later (maybe the blue version). As a casual / business casual watch, it is great. I think the blurred print on the dial is due to the texture on the dial itself - they could have used a flat rectangle on the dial, or applied writings, but at that price, it is asking too much.

    I wonder why they just don't sell these without straps or just a nylon band with the provision that you are expected to put what you want on it. Otherwise I bet the reason they used 21mm lugs is its a rip of case or cases from a reject pile from a more popular brand.

    • @Alias_Anybody
      @Alias_Anybody Před 3 lety +5

      The NH35 costs ~30 dollars and is not really worth faking, especially considering that Cadisen isn't actually that small of a company, particularly compared to microbrands. If they want to save money on the movement they either use a Miyota-clone (identifyable by the rotor spin) of some version of the Chinese Standard Movement (thicker and quite weak automatic winding). I have experiences with NH35s in Chinese watches, they look like NH35s, they sound like NH35s and they perform like NH35s, there's no smoking gun to be suspicious.
      Meanwhile, almost everyone cheaps out on the straps. "Genuine leather" only requires the cheapest leather available to be a true statement and it can still be coated with some synthetic material. Real leather being in there doesn't mean it's a good strap.
