I’ve been struggling with this. I can afford a really nice watch like a Tudor, Rolex or omega but that would be my only watch for certain (besides Apple Watch). However, I would rather have a few watches and I’m realizing there are a ton of really nice brands, even Swiss made, that are sub $1k. I think I’m just going to stick with the sub $1k category and get 10-12 watches instead of 1

I could’ve bought this watch at around $380 USD before taxes and fees from eBay before release. After the release date the price went up way over $500. Now I’m watching the price go back down before I finally buy it.

It's like with most things if you don't value it don't hang on to shit 💩. Would you reson the same with a book. Hmm I want an expensive book, I don't like the content of it but expensiv is nicer, can we add some dimonds on the cover. It is just silly! Everything is reversed, the people that need to show of stuff is not excentric they are into pleasing others moore then you might think! It takes 12 watches before you actually know what you like, and then you probably need 5, but over that it is a bit unhealthy 😀 Tough it is good to look what repair of something is and by something 3 times moore expensive. Soo it is worth to fix it when it breaks. To cheep stuff its cheeper to buy a new. But you must use it to. Rolex have a bit of a problem everyone also knows it is a Rolex! And you could be robbed over it. They are waterprof but still they look kind of stupid on the beach, and you will be slightly stressed out if you get saltwater in it while swiming. And you could also end up buying the wrong luxurius watch that lose a lot of money, of go gor the same boring stuff everyone choise. Or worst of all all go for a Hublot, boone knows what it is except watchsnobbs who go 💩 and you spend 5k on it.

I have this watch and personally I think it can't be beat - the alarm is far more audible than on my g shocks and also you can get it with a long strap which is great for my large 8.5 inch wrists. The light may not look as pretty but it does the job no problem and for the price I'm over the moon with mine.

As someone who was born and raised in Germany, I can tell you firsthand that the stereotype of 'German precision' is outdated. While it might have held some truth in the past, the reality today is much different. Trains aren't always on time, and not everything is manufactured with meticulous accuracy. It's important not to rely on outdated generalizations when thinking about modern Germany. Love your channel!

The purpose of a 24 hr hand in a chronograph is to assist with setting the time. You no longer need to set the date one day early and sweep through midnight to know if you’re setting AM or PM. But with a solar quartz good for 6 months… maybe a little useless on this one.

I will be buying more Aliexpress specials at some point but there is no way I am paying the ridiculous San Martin prices for Seiko NH movement watches. Addiesdive or Watchdive are presently the way to go imho.

There are a number of other San Martin watches for which I don't like the color choices, but this blue and orange one I think is great for a fun summer watch. Bought one.

I got Rado Voyager that belonged to my grandfather. I like it alot. It kinda gives me the feeling that my life is not completely taken over by electronic technology. Its requirement to be reset for time is actually an experience of its own. If I am to be offered with an IWatch in exchange for selling this Rado, I'd dump the Iwatch and keep that rado.

Copies no, but the aventurine does clearly seem to be a GS homage. There is enough difference not to call it a copy, but truly original is possibly a bit of stretch.
