i know exactly how Dave felt.....i was really good friends with this guy back in high school, he was one of the boys we use to play baseball and videogames and talk about pussy, we lost touch after high school, we went to different colleges..... anyway i was so looking forward to meeting him again at the high school reunion, i was looking forward to meeting my friend carson instead i met carla at the reunion, he identified as a woman now. yeah someone said "well its still same person, you can still talk about stuff u guys used to enjoy back in the day" nope, not the same person, he/she/it doesn't talk about sports or pussy like before...instead that person talk to my wife , all night long about the best make-up and skin products and real housewives shit, and i had to sit there with them...and try not to act uncomfortable....class of 2002, i'm 40 now.

Dave has always been a comedian who was focused on race and identity. Its just his thing. He talks about what he knows and what he sees around him. Cant expect him to start doing jokes like anthony jeselnik or bert krieshner. You should know by now if you like his style and subject matter or not.

Its so hard to watch Dave endlessly search for a trans joke that works. An actor pretending to be a character is not the same as what trans people experience; jokes have to make sense to be funny! It's kind of the exact opposite if you think about it since they have to pretend to be a gender that they arent their whole life. Dave has really lost it....I miss the days when he was more funny than transphobic.
