It's important to let yourself be inspired by the very best musicians, who also had their heart in the right place, such as Bill Evans. Please forget about idiots like Keith Jarrett. They have a negative influence on your mind and on your overall performance. Bill Evans never recorded Somewhere Over The Rainbow, but Eva Cassidy did. Of course she played guitar, not piano, but her version gives me goosebumps every time.
Whenever I play this song, I feel that I can't get out of the influence of Keith Jarrett. So, I think that this performance isn't 'my own performance'. And I agree that Bill Evans has a great mind. This is why he is my favorite. But I wonder why you think Keith Jarrett is an idiot.
@@rumbol2 He is an absolute self-centered pain in the behind. He is known to act like a child and run away when someone in the audience dares to make a sound. He also pretends to improvise when in reality he is just an average piano player who has rehearsed the so called improvisations. To make it look like he's some kind of genius he also makes plenty of faces during his concerts. He has been permanently banned from the Umbria Jazz Festival because of his extreme arrogance. He calls the people who paid tickets to see him a**holes because they are taking pictures. The list of childish, arrogant acts is endless. No one in his right mind should want to associate himself with this terrible, mentally unstable guy.
