I'm a woman in the tech industry. Because I'm a women, I was the only one who was ever asked to make the powerpoint presentations "pretty" which, along with the actual design, meant doing all the data analysis and charts and stats. They would go off to the board and look good and I got no credit. I finally embedded "created by (name)" into the theme in the background. My bosses aren't technical so they couldn't get rid of it. And they didn't dare ask me to delete it or risk admitting they were passing the work off as their own. 😂
literally the same thing happened to me. i'm in STEM and i had to assemble a pegboard (fucking ridiculous) for the floor. i got it done and everyone was happy at how "pretty" and organized it looked. and my supervisor (male douchebag) took credit for it, because of course he did. ridiculous all around.
It's both funny and sad that women are often said to be disinterested in STEM fields, that it's male-dominated because men just have more of a natural affinity for it, when the men in these fields seem to do anything possible to keep women out of it and to hand off all the work to women that they believe is more suited to them.
I do that too!!! I've had so many awful experiences with group projects or working in teams where I've done 90% of the work or the entire thing and had other team members (usually male!) claim that they conceived of the idea/writing/etc. that I've ended up putting credits in literally everything.
Good move! I just make my slides deliberately ugly so no one will ask me again. XD

I had a professor who loved roger scruton when I was getting my bachelor's in philosophy. everyone hated this class. as part of our grade we had to do presentations, and half of us chose to present on scruton and why he sucked - on the day we had to present, he died. we fully believed our collective hatred of this man gathered in one building had killed him

I find this absolutely fascinating, because in my college classes, we discussed how the 'American identity' tends to be especially artificial and therefore especially emphasized within America because of all the varied places Americans come from requiring that we can only truly find unity in the shared idea of being American, and loving America and other Americans. Where 'shared identity' is a clear dogwhistle in one country (talking about people who were there for multiple generations rather than folks who were there only for one or two), it's a call to unity in another country. I'll be interested to contemplate it further.

@@reflectingPastChoices That's a good idea. It's algorithmically beneficial when many people cover the same topic at the same time. Most of the time it happens on accident, but there's no reason to not use that advantage intentionally.
@@reflectingPastChoices pretty much guaranteed they knew it was coming because some level of discussion about their schedules helps avoid duplicating effort but approaching the same issue from different angles is definitely viable too, I don't watch Harris for philosophical discourse after all.

The way the camera moves during the Arsonist's monologue, so even as he "flatters" the woman he's talking to by calling her beautiful, intelligent, creative, etc; he's looking DOWN on her. Fucking brilliant.

@@jaduspeaks4754 I don't know if it might be a partly neurodivergent thing for me, but the moving camera also perfectly captured this dizzying effect that I feel in confronting conversations where I feel overly fixated on irl, like this feeling that the room is falling away, or that the subject is still yet moving unpredictably to me.
Just such an amazing Arsonist face reveal. I love too the little hits on the newspaper, how the Arsonist says "we can't even call them women's shelters!" meanwhile, the newspaper confirms the character is a liar.
@@lilpetz500I think you hit on something there, too! I've experienced a similar sensation when I've been in intense confrontations/arguments. Funny thing, you don't process the Arsonist as arguing with you or confronting you...not until the end anyway.
The arsonist is such a good segment everytime because for the whole video up till that point we’ve been learning how to recognize these peoples rhetoric and now essentially get practice on how to notice the dog whistles as they’re happening
The poison is so potent [that for me personally], it takes the whole video up until that point to make it through the viewing

The arsonist could be the slimiest most hated caricature character ever but they way you act it out is legit terrifying because it makes him into a charming person who utilises skillful manipulation tactics to the extreme.
Just like so many politicians and culture icons.
It feels so weird to hear Abigail use his voice now, like my brain is okay with her old, pre-transition videos but something about her speaking in a male voice while still giving off girl boss vibes just… gives me the weirdest secondhand dysphoria. Maybe I’m overthinking things.

It's insane to me that "deny reality" is a "valid" political argument. Escapism belongs in fiction, not as a foundation for an entire society.
It's also wild that they gladly ally with other conservatives who accuse liberals of being a bunch of reality-denying utopian hippies. Or more precisely, that those people ally with people who say that history should be rewritten to support their narrative. Are they willfully ignorant, or just straight hypocrites? Is there a difference?
The key is the power differential.
Ordinarily, denying reality carries consequences; potentially dire ones depending on exactly what parts you deny. But if one person is in a position of power over another, they can make the other person shoulder all those consequences instead of them.

@@quinn.iamdefinitelycisgend2542 For anyone who doesn't know, it's inspired by Artur Berger and/or Max Frisch's plays. It's a very insightful commentary from the early-to-mid 20th century.
@@quinn.iamdefinitelycisgend2542 she portrayed the character in such a chilling way, like exactly the last guy I want to meet; polite yet threatening, and misogynist in just covert enough of ways that I can see people defending the points and calling me unfair and against male feminists for critiquing them. She writes the character with the graceful nuance of someone who has both been very familiarised with toxic masculinity teachings (see, the Ur Dad concept in past videos), along with how it feels like to be one of the women horrified and harmed by it.
I say, she should be in the running as the President of Women, idk she seems to be a strong candidate.
I've seen a lot of straight women talking about their relationships and how they deserve to be cared for by their male partners on tiktok and I've started seeing this play out in real life. I was at a work party and I could see that my coworker's wife had started challenging him and openly called him out for not doing the bare minimum (talking to her) in a public space where decorum is important. I'm so proud of her.
To me those tiktoks have always screamed of divine femininity (‘I am okay with doing all the housekeeping, I just want to feel like a female icon for it’), but this makes me reconsider that notion, thank you
@@mikkelens there are definitely those types of videos, the ones I've been seeing are really at the barest level of "does your partner care about you?" One video that I'm thinking of is posing to the viewer the question of if they asked their partner to bring them an orange as a snack, would they peal it? While I think that there's some neurodivergent complexity here that we're going to excuse, the idea is that the average partner, that when their partner would ask that of them, would think that "oh hey, my partner wants this is a snack, that means it would be easier for them/more preferential for the orange to be peeled, I'll do that."
In the same vein, I've seen a lot of cis couples "modelling" healthy relationships. There was a guy that posted a "story" about going to the store for his wife to get pumpkin pie ingredients, realized she forgot the pumpkin in the list of items, and decided not to get it because it wasn't on the list even though he didn't think there was any at home. I've seen a lot of women posing a similar situation to their husbands/boyfriends and asking them to walk through the thought process of the decision they'd make. The theme is generally "if you forgot [key ingredient] on the list and I didn't know if we had any at home, I'd just buy it because what's the worst that's gonna happen if we have an extra of [key ingredient]??" And showing that it's just basic care and thought for your partner and that it's possible to have that in a relationship. That women are giving this to their male partners and it's totally okay to expect the same from them.
@@lazo9972 i’m not on tiktok so i haven’t seen the tone of those videos, but that baffles me a little bit, i’ll admit. it seems like a lot of mind game expectations on both parties rather than just… communicating? in those scenarios, my first instinct would be to poke my head into my loved one’s room and go “hey, want me to peel that orange?” or give them a call or text and go “hey, no pumpkin on the list, do we have some at home already?”
like, yeah, i agree that partners no matter the gender should be thoughtful and take care of each other. but having unspoken expectations of your partner, even in small things like the orange problem, is a recipe for resentment in my experience.
Calling your partner out in public isn't exactly respectful. There are simply better ways of getting your point across without belittling your partner.

People can cite the underlying ideas of toxic masculinity, but I wonder what constitutes toxic femininity. The need to be seen as attractive comes to mind-things like body image, but also the tight policing of sexual desire. You must look attractive, but you must not look like you're trying to be attractive. This balancing act of almost contradicting ideals seems to be a common theme.

Another big one I’d say is we must be empathetic and in tune to emotions but we ourselves are not allowed to be too emotional- we must be weepy but we must never wail or whine- we can only cry so long as we look pretty doing it. We must always know exactly what the men in our lives are thinking or feeling and act accordingly, but our own emotions must be hidden and dealt with privately so that we don’t bother the men around us with our female hysteria. We are never allowed to complain or bring attention to a problem, and we must always fix the problems of everyone else. We’re expected to be motherly and nurturing but we can’t be too coddling to our sons for fear of making them too soft- and we must scold and shame our daughters until they are exactly like us. The experience of womanhood is just one giant impossible balancing act where we must BE but must never be too much.

Women are allowed to, and do in fact, feel angry, all of the damn time. it is they who choose to display that anger in the most passive aggressive manner possible.
but let’s make no mistake, whether you are a male acting outwardly on your anger, or whether you are a female and dragging that anger out over extended periods of time, drip feeding your rage passive aggressively - there's no difference. Both examples are not in control of themselves.

it’s 2023 - i’ve been hearing that refrain for over 30 years now and I guarantee you it is no longer as applicable as it may have been three decades ago.
Okay but the amount of fear being felt by anyone who plagiarised her work after seeing what Hbomberguy did to Somerton just brings me a certain amount of joy as an academic who busts my ass doing my own research (this whole thing has felt extra personal since Somerton was a jerk to me directly on Twitter and also makes videos on similar topics to what I cover in academia).
As always though, I can't wait to see Abigail's video! Her work is consistently some of, if not the, best content on this site!

i find it astounding that those who plagiarize weren't already terrified of an outcome like James's. like when you so lazily copy past info that you found from a public source that anyone could easily point out not only says alot of those people's egos but how little they think of the audience they're presenting the information too. you're not going to fact check me you're too lazy yourselves. it is and can be daunting to spent some hours searching and finding multiple sources or accounts on a particular topic but now after all this i think everyone's a bit more enclined to do their due diligence.

Illumi's plagiarism came out ages ago, as well as her (in my opinion) more egregious and frequent factual errors (see examples in Hbomberguy's video). And she's still been pumping out content, she still makes money, and is actively trying to ruin the lives of multiple people currently. That Filip guy from IGN lost his job and... that's it. What's James going to do? Wait a couple of months/ a year, sleeping on a pile of Patreon money, and try to make a comeback.
I follow several youtubers who sometimes read/watch others content. Sometimes most or all of one video/essay. Probably without permission. BUT they are open about that is what they are doing AND they provide their own opinions and thoughts, throughout. Basically reviewing the original creators work in an often rambly unscripted way. Original creator is named several times, throughout the video, and links are provided. "Here's what it says that means on wikipedia" happens a lot when big words are used. If the reviewer is mostly just humming and yeahing and not having much to say on their own I don't follow them and may ask CZcams not to suggest their channel again. Because they are boring and crappy reviewers. It's a bit of a lazy freeride on other peoples hard work but they don't play it off as anything other then an amateur review/reaction video.
What the people HBomber exposed did was worse. Not only using other peoples work but HIDING that was what they were doing. Even their opinions were word for word OTHER PEOPLES opinions.

I’ve gotta say @18:31, as a person with a disability, who has a girlfriend who is “completely disabled,” our lives are infinitely more difficult than they need to be. We are both used frequently and paid less, or nothing, for the work we do. We also have significant difficulty with financial matters overall as we need financial help, but that financial help also keeps us from being able to be married.
All I want, literally all I want, is a safety net to catch me if and when my disability becomes an issue. I want to work! In fact I desperately need to work, but sometimes my multiple disabilities threaten my ability to work consistently, and I don’t think I should be threatened with total collapse because of something I can’t control.

Abigail plays the Arsonist very well she is an extremely skilled actress. I love how charismatic the Arsonist is, how the character talks, flirts, pretends to care about your thoughts and then how the conversation is steered in such subtle ways. Masterful manipulation, a terrifying character. Brilliant work Abigail!

I've kinda missed the arsonist. I had made peace with the fact that Abi had retired him following her transition, but seeing his return both makes me happy and absolutely terrified; he chills my blood more than any other fictional villain... Partly because I feel like I wouldn't be able to notice the strings he's pulling if I ever met him myself... It's an amazingly well-written villain she's created, and I'm apprehensively here for it...

Spectacular moment in the Arsonist's monologue at 46:00 where he gestures invitingly towards the listener and says "I'm interested to hear your thoughts" before the hand immediately turns around into a silencing gesture, and he begins aggressively explaining *to* her what her thoughts *ought* to be, and driving the camera lower and lower as he steamrolls her and heaps on narratives meant to engender envy of other marginalized groups. I can't. It's so good.
Best Arsonist scene to date for sure. A lot of people are talking about how charming and manipulative a character he is, and I do like that as well, but what I enjoyed the most in this scene is that, no matter how much he tries to hide or sugarcoat it, the fascism still shines through, both in the talking points and the mannerisms.
Fascists can try to portray themselves as reasonable people who “just have a few concerns”, but if you know what to look for, they always give themselves away.
It's a tactic so many people like this do in conversation. Ask to hear what you think and then IMMEDIATELY, without pausing for breath launch into what *they* think. Not giving you a moment to get a word in edgewise about your thoughts, after inviting you to share them. It's a way to make themselves look like they're listening to you, while not giving you any opportunity to voice your opinions.
By the time they're done talking, they would have made their position so abundantly clear that you'll either agree with them to avoid conflict or even if you want to challenge them on it they would have said so many outrageous things that you don't even know where to start.
I really enjoy rewatching the monologues of the arsonist to see all the little details I may have not picked up on at first. There are so many dogwhistles throughout, it’s wild how well they can blend in with other talking points
I don't think anything more sums up conservative views as "Step one ignore reality". This was such a great video.

Two sides saying the same thing about each other, doesn't cancel each other statements out. They have to both be inspected and it can turn out that either:
A Both groups are right
B One group is right
C None of the statements are right
The result of this has no bearing on any other statements made by the groups about each other, though may after several revealed lies of a group put the truthfulness/reliability of other statements into question, but doesn't remove the need for their inspection.
So, which side is "Ignoring reality"? Most likely the anti-science one, that sometimes tries to accuse the other side of being anti-science, though through either using pseudo-science or completely made up stuff. And if you are up to date on your news and fact checking it shouldn't be too hard to figure out which it is ;)

Otherwise we are facing the same issue again. A bias is not inherently bad. You must first look at what the bias is towards and evaluate based on that. Though you will most likely not find an objective answer.
For example: I am biased towards food safety regulation. I value the wellbeing of consumers over the freedoms of corporations. My preference is towards preventing harm being done in the first place. Some would agree with me. Others would see the potential deaths as a fair trade off for corporate freedoms, and prefer a reactive handling of problems. Crack some eggs to make an omelette approach.
Both of these positions are only objective in relation to certain frameworks. And their both objectively bad or good within those frameworks.
Food regulation is objectively good when considering preventative harm reduction, while bad if you value unrestricted market dynamics. If two people don't value the same things and think in different frameworks, then bias becomes meaningless.

I got disowned when I was 19 and couldn't get government assistance despite briefly being homeless and living below the poverty line. This is because, untill you're 22, you're considered a dependent to your parents.
The only way to claim benifits is either prove that your parents are a significant immediate threat to your safety (not just violent or abusive), or have them fill out income report paper work.
When tried to file for independence based on abuse, I was told I was only in teir 2 and I needed to be in teir 4 risk. My parent used words to kick me out. They weren't 'violent'.
But at the same time, I couldn't get them to fill out the income paperwork nessecary because they didn't want anything to do with me.
This also impacted my access to affordable health care.
I've since turned 22 and gotten benifits and it is life changing. Prior I could not attend University in full time as I had to work 25hrs a week minimum. Now I can! My benifits take care of my rent!!!

14:51 This line hits so close to home. My mother is unable to work due to disability and relies on my father to provide for the family and her disability benefits. Now in Canada (at least in Ontario) you collect benefits as an individual, but that money has to go somewhere, and in our case, it's the shared bank account my parents set up when they got married. This made me realize that if my father was abusive (he is not at all and I love him dearly) my mother would be financially unable to leave and live anywhere but the street. Power inequality is a scary thing to live with.
She has access to the bank account, so she could transfer all the money to a private bank account in one day. No law forbids that but yes it is still dangerous.
So let me get this straight. You are complaining that there is inequality that your mother doesnt have the chance to transfer all the money that he has made on his own to her bank account while his wife did not contribute financially?

I previously worked at a trillion dollar company and there were so many women who had this experience. Picture a meeting full of men and few women, a women presents an idea, it’s ignored, then 10 minutes later a man spouts the same suggestion and suddenly it’s groundbreaking and must be acted on. I was ashamed for my then employer. I had the opportunity to talk to so many women from different parts of that business and this was an experience that was universally shared by them.
I remember my brother would mention to the male boss when the idea he brought up came from the women sitting next to him and the silence was deafening

When I was in my twenties, I was living in a small town in my mom's house with my husband (who had recently been laid off) and my sister with her kids. I was the only one with a job, my father had died the year before and my sister had been abandoned by her common law husband. One day I needed to stop at the grocery store to get food for the house. I had been followed from my place of work to the store, and when I left, a woman came up to me, Angry I had the "Good office job" and stolen it from a man who had a family to feed. She knew where I worked and was angry enough to follow me around. I naturally took my food and left, taking a weird way home and increased my drive time quite a lot. That woman felt that it was more important that some theoretical man and his imaginary family have my job instead of my actual family having food, and I should be ashamed of myself. I knew right then and there, I was a feminist. My very real needs would Never be secondary to some construct of what someone else thought should be happening. That construct will see me actually starving, homeless and dead under a bridge because an imaginary man and his made up family was more important than real live people.

I became homeless after I disowned my parents. Ran away from an abusive household, only to run into an abusive system. The way I see it, the government are playing exactly the same role as my family did. They don't believe I'm disabled, or constantly check to see if I'm not anymore, they reluctantly give me housing, but discriminate, and exploit. (My rent at the homeless shelter, in Bristol is 900 quid a month. For an 8.6 meter squared ensuite, in a house with 11 people). My last room in a house was 450 and only 380 was covered by the government.

As a trans woman who is also a drag king, the return of the Arsonist was absolutely spectacular and just used so perfectly. Also it’s absolutely one of the hardest things in the acting profession to make a morally reprehensible person ooze that much charisma - it’s like if Iago nearly got you on side.

Speaking of women bandying together to warn others about predators, I had a teacher in Catholic school who was just know as "The Pedophile". This tells you how well known he was for, well, being just that. He had been teaching for decades on end, 5th and 6th graders; the only "safeguard" the school put into place was to have another teacher, his actual wife, teach alongside him.
This being an elevator school, it covered grades 5-12. A lot of times this caused terrible problems (including boys about to enter college preying on girls shortly out of elementary class, and at one point, a scheme to extort money and sell switchblades to the youngest boys: the school, incidentally, did not solve any of these problems- it never did) but in this one case, it was actually helpful.
9th grade girls would find 5th graders in The Pedophile's classes and warn them. I received one such warning. They told me, and others, to never be alone with him. If need be, run. Ignore him if he hails you on hallway. And once you are done with him as a teacher, ignore him altogether.
I still remember one of the 9th graders. She was livid, telling her peers that the man should be held accountable, that all this advice could only go so far. The other girls sympathized but as one said, "You know we've tried all that before. This is all we can do."
Things did not change: once I got to 9th grade, I, too, warned 5th graders about this monster.
And in case anyone was wondering, this was not the only teacher with this kind of proclivity. I had another one who stalked a friend of mine (10th grade), one who told a classmate to remove her shirt- even when told she had nothing under it- (7th grade, I think? Maybe 8th), and a priest who asked me on a date during confession (11th grade).

Kudos to Abi for feeling able to bring him back - it was utterly compelling. I think it's possible the heightened state around doing this character again may have pushed her to even greater heights (depths?) because I think it's one of the best acting performances I've seen her give. (the unnerving camera work was great as well)
The selling of fascism to women was a fascinating subject to delve into, as it echos how we are seeing so many people buying in to narratives and groups that are actively hurting them right now. Also, the parallel of suffragettes adopting fascism with TERFs adopting hard right rhetoric was BRILLIANT.

I'm really glad you brought back The Arsonist for this video. It was chilling, unsettling, and unexpected. It captured that feeling when a man in power speaks down to you and you can't say anything about it. That feeling of real danger even though on the surface it seems he's just saying a few kind words. I hope people who haven't experienced that feeling IRL can maybe understand it a bit more from this video.

Your point about fascism, patriarchy, and power is wonderful! I recently acted in my first-ever stage play as Hotspur in Yvette Nolan’s PlayOn! translation of Henry IV Part 1. A major theme we explored in our production was patriarchy and how it intersects with violence. We made the violence in the show quite graphic, but I discovered that, as an AFAB person, being suddenly allowed to participate in “masculine” violence made me feel oddly good. I felt powerful and capable and genuinely exhilarated by the fictional war I helped lead. It felt good to face no social consequences as a result of being publicly violent and angry. As you said: finally, people would have to listen to me! I had to rethink my whole moral compass for a moment after those first movement workshops, having realized that if I were given patriarchal power over violence without consequence, within my own existing moral boundaries, I might’ve taken it without question. I might have been willing to do harm because society had made it simply feel natural for someone masculine to be violent. I drew lines for myself and chose to follow a harm reduction-based philosophy rather than simply defaulting to it because pacifism is the “feminine” choice appropriate for someone of my sex.
I think the reason why people may be attracted to fascism is that it allows them to feel emotions and ideas that society considers taboo like anger and violence. So for you violence and anger are considered taboo because they do not align with society's idea of femininity due to patriarchy gendering violence even though violence has no gender.

I felt absolutely transfixed during the entire Arsonist monologue. The camera movement and positioning, the use of dogwhistles, the flattery, the sense of menace... just absolutely perfect.

Reminds me of this idea we have in Japan called the "gaijin (foreigner) card". It refers to how when people recognize that someone is a foreigner, they won't enforce domestic rules and expectations.
Despite being Japanese, I've used it more than once to get out of bs situations. For me it was never as serious as racial segregation, but I just wanted to point out a parallel.
It's very sad and telling how sometimes the only way to duck systemic injustice is to pretend you're not part of their system. To "otherize" yourself from your own community.
As a history major, I actually kind of agree with what Scruton says about history, in that it is a dynamic and living thing that changes under influence, like who's perspective you're looking through. However his conclusion that this should be utilized to one's own personal advantage is repulsive. We must be cognizant of the biases that we bring to our study of history in order to better inform our conclusions and gain a fuller, richer understanding of historical events whose contexts are vastly different to our own.
Not completely related, but a video on the philosophies of studying history would be so interesting! And a ripe opportunity for fun costumes lol

Can I just say how absolutely haunting it is to hear The Arsonist’s voice again? In general it feels absolutely jarring to hear you put on a masculine voice in one your post-transition era videos. It just feels like “…That’s not Abby….Oh, God, that’s NOT Abby…!” Goes to show your acting chops know no bounds, and all and all this is turning out to be one of my favorite episodes you’ve put out lately. Almost feels like a sequel to your old “Gender, Marxism, and Witchcraft” video too. ❤
Edit: literally typing this as I watch but I also loved the fact that during the entire monologue The Arsonist gives, the camera is angled up so that he’s always looking down at the viewer, the “woman” in question that he’s trying to rally. It shows the truth that whatever pretty words he’s using to persuade the woman, he still sees her as beneath him, a pawn in his quest for power.

I had a boss who would literally not let me talk at meetings. If I said anything besides answering a question he would cut me off, change the subject or tell me my ideas wouldn't work. He would let the rest of the male team talk at meetings. I was the only woman. My co-workers and I tried an experiment. I told my ideas to a very young male intern working with us and he brought them up at the meeting and my boss listened and gave him respect. It is so infuriating because I was responsible for my particular areas of the job but I could not bring up problems and solutions at the meeting like everyone else. But when something went wrong I was blamed and not allowed to defend myself. It was abusive and really not cool.
Something I learned very quickly as an artist is that people will take advantage of your need for exposure and publicity to get free labor. That's why I stopped taking unpaid requests, why I almost never post WIPs, why I always include a signature, and why I always ask for upfront payment. Not criticizing Abby for what she did, but the "it's for exposure" scam is so common among digital artists (many of whom are women, trans men, GNC AFAB people) that it's one of the first things you learn as an artist online.
That entire "fire" recruiter scene was just ART. The camera slowly descending below him to make him look larger and more dominant as he spoke about making you the viewer dominant. The camera shaking more and more to reflect that cognitive dissonance and cue you into realizing it's all a sales pitchy grift into f@scism. That spine chilling line "Do you have a match?" having the classic philosophytube fire metaphor but also serving as an invitation to the viewer to become "the match" and start the next fire. AUGH. Your film is going to be so good if this is the stuff you put out for free.
The cinematography of that scene was exquisite.
Seeing a chapter titles "OH GOD HE'S BACK" made me unreasonably happy. It's really fascinating how you manage to capture the ability of some people to be scarily likable/charismatic while spouting extremely dangerous ideas

I had the same thoughts. I will say, it's fascinating and strangely heartening to see how much drag king energy this edition of the salesman has. There can - depending on the person - be something very bittersweet but satisfying about discovering that you can't present as your AGAB without looking like you're crossdressing. That was certainly my experience.
I think this is his most chilling appearance yet. Part of it was just my surprise at seeing Abby play him again, but I don't think it's _just_ that. You can _feel_ what the...two, three years? of experience has done for her skills.

I haven't really thought about both gender and society much in a few years. So this video got me to do that. For that I thank you. Even if I can not put myself in your shoes, I do wish you the best that you actually get to fight. It's itself an ignorant statement: nearly everyone benefits from CO² pollution. Indeed it's majorly driven by consumers. If consumers didn't want to pollute, they'd force the companies to reduce their pollution.

The way the camera gets lower and closer during the petrol salesman section is just genius! The character stays seated and doesn't move, but they go from eye-level to looming over the viewer in this really creepy way. These character sections are always the highlights of your videos.

Yeah I was wary about that at first until I realized that I still had a very outdated viewpoint on her back from when those edgy 2010s memes against her were all the rage back then. What’s interesting is that I’ve only recently looked into proper criticism/analysis of her political commentary, and while I still do disagree with her on some fronts, I’m glad to say that I can at least watch a video with her name in it for once!
I was just cast as Dracula in a huge play. I'm a cis woman, so getting the part was... amazing and *shocking*. My director was scared that the anti-trans people would come out of the woodwork but everyone was extremely supportive and we never faced any issues, not even on social media.

No it really really does not. If you think fascism has litearlly anything to do with "tradwife" (and this is coming from a former nazi/fascist/third positionist) then you just don't know as much as you think you do. Try venturing outside of niche biased circles and interact with more people, perhaps those who actually hold the beliefs you criticize, to see if the way they are represented on here is actually how they are in reality.
This isn't defending them in any way, and if you think it is, you're clearly a child. This is simply to say that personal experience and actual interactions with those we disagree with will go a long way in revealing what is actually true, rather than simply taking people's words for it online who have never been one themselves, nor have they ever regularly interacted with them in a legitimate intellectually honest basis.
I don't think they're necessarily saying the tradwife subculture is the same as fascism, but that the reasons women may be drawn the tradwife subculture can be explained by looking at why they were drawn to fascism, since a major component of both movements is the complete rejection of feminism in favour of a conservative, restrictive social role. It would seem counterintuitive for a person to genuinely want to give up their voice and become entirely submissive to another person indefinitely, but through looking at historic parallels, we can find out why a tradwife might find this restrictive life path appealing. Does that make sense?
