- Should we upgrade our base to metal? Or should we build it out of wood? Especially on servers with base destruction off, you want the walls to protect you in an eventual raid, don't you? Let's put it up for a test!
Have you've been wondering if some of the DayZ myths are true or not? We're here to test out all your questions and mechanics of the game. DayZ Standalone is a great game and has a lot of features, but we don't know much about them. Let's test it out together. This is why people only use metal for gates to increase the amount of C4 needed in raids, but the walls are only wood.

would like to see a test of different levels of protection in helmets, if there is any. Also interesting would be to see if there is any advantage or effect for using different buttstocks and handguards.

Literally all helmets offer the same amount of ballistic protection, with some decent variance in melee and zombie protection. The main difference is their durability

@@Bohani don't be so sure about that, and everyone said heli in game or AI was not possible as well yet here we are.. bullet penetration into walls is in the worx

@@Bohani I think things like car Hoods would work as a shield, barrels tool possibly. But as a follow-up to this video - does it take more time to destroy metal walls over wood? I think that's where the real benefit to metal would be... durability from being broken into.

So wood protects you but metal doesn't?
They can also shoot through small cracks of the wall. But for that they need to get real close to the walls.

Sadly, it is. I would see it, only stoping low caliber rounds. But almost everything goes through.
so in others words. wood betta metal no good. bullet go through. metal easy to bash wood hard to bash.
