Cool project, I have been looking as the mk 1 IS but they are all so expensive!! £3-4k these days. I paid £4k for my 2007 IS 250 and that had 80k miles and was loaded with the Mark Lev sound system as well as cooled seats.
@@Thomas-ss1iu If you want the truth, slow, FWD and had quite a few issues because it wasn’t looked after over the years. Great to drive though. A supercharged one would be really awesome!
@@shizukesajdm Ah fair enough. I'm not too bothered about how fast it is, as for the fwd my first car was fwd and I loved it. Did you know what to look for when viewing the car before buying it? Really tempted by them, would go for a mx5 or mr2 but they're almost too popular. Only just found your channel but really liked your videos so far!
@@Thomas-ss1iu I wouldn’t know what to look for really, just the general stuff like service history and rust really. A compression test is always a good shout, but not many will be willing to let you do that. I’d say an MX-5 is a better choice because if you want to mod it, there’s way more aftermarket support. £3-4 is SO cheap compared to how much they're going to be in 5-10 years. Grab one while you can.
