a Morning in my Off-Grid village in Ghana

Today I’m wearing boots due to the thorny
ground where I’m about to work in
-I am planting cherry tomatoes with a natural and simple technique.
Waiting for the tomatoes to be completely ripe and squeeze them in a soft and welcoming moisture ground
It is a natural nursery too,
meaning that I planted the tomatoes under a group of cacao trees that are offering shade to keep the environment a bit more cozy and less expose to the harsh sun of the afternoon
I water the tomatoes throughly straight after the seeding
-I am transplanting a mango tree that I actually planted more than 1 year ago.
I planted two and the other grew very well and this one was not.
I then realized that the bananas that I have planted next to the pink-dome have now overgrown and cast a big constant shadow over the little mango.
So I have decided to transplant it next to the bananas to enjoy equal sun.
I dug the soil deep enough in order to extract the tree by leaving the roots undisturbed as much as possible
I then transplanted the tree in a nice moisturized and soft ground
After a few weeks the tree started to finally develop new branches , new leaves and growth
-I planted this grass-carpet that you see in my front yard.
It is a local grass that spreads via propagation.
Meaning that all you need to do is to plant a little batch of it and eventually will spread in the surroundings in accordance to rain drop and landscapes
I extracted this grass-square to make space for the mango, and I transplanted it in front of the house where the grass didn’t spread as much as yet
-I always want to make sure that if I rely on rain water to nurture the plants, I do plant or transplant during a humid and wet season to allow the ground to be as welcoming and nutritious as possible for the plants to adapt and grow in.
-With natural seeding nursery fed by rain water, you also want to make sure that the rain-drop is not too heavy or it might disturb the ground, moving seeds away from their original position or possibly even killing the baby plants due to the amount of excessive water or water pressure.
