The area "Til Havs" is an aria Bjoerling sang and which ended up on a 33 rpm vinyl record recital--Bjoerling in Concert--which I purchased 30 years ago. Vinyl is gone, but unless that recording has been transcribed to CD, I will keep my old record player going solely in order to be able to play that antiquated record and listen to the incomparable Bjoerling...who will never be antiquated because he is a singer for the ages.
That is just insanely, heart-leapingly, beyond the beyond of wonderful. My favorite tenor, for now and forever. There were, are, and will be other magnificent tenors (of every kind), but Jussi is special.

He's really enjoying himself isn't he. I listen to Jussi for about 6 hours everyday. Some people say he leaves them feeling cold after listening to him, I just don't understand what they are talking about.
Petter s . I work from home mostly. I'm up at 6am every morning and go to bed around 10pm. So there is enough time in the day to listen to Jussi. Take yesterday for instance, when I woke I played the full Aida, then a selection of arias and songs from studio,radio and live recordings. At 11am I drove to Birmingham and played the Turandot and on the way home Tosca.
I don't understand either, why some people find Jussi Björling cold and emotionless. They probably prefer the tasteless, overly lachrymose singing of some bygone Italian tenors.
For me one of Björlings greatest numbers. This video of RESAN TILL DIG is new to me. There are other versions of this piece by him but its also great to see him action. The greatest FULL LYRIC tenor SINGER in my experience. The most memorable vocal musical tribute to the sea that I know of & ever since I first heard it & in whatever sea & ship I find myself in this music always springs to mind & if I know ahead of time I have Björling‘s recording along as well. I have a special preference for the orchestral accompaniment also.

Björling har förbrukat Reuters/Norqvists sång. Jag har hört ett par andra försöka framföra den, men de är så bleka som slaka segel i jämförelse. This is the one and only.

He's really enjoying himself isn't he. I listen to Jussi for about 6 hours everyday. Some people say he leaves them feeling cold after listening to him, I just don't understand what they are talking about.

Petter s . I work from home mostly. I'm up at 6am every morning and go to bed around 10pm. So there is enough time in the day to listen to Jussi. Take yesterday for instance, when I woke I played the full Aida, then a selection of arias and songs from studio,radio and live recordings. At 11am I drove to Birmingham and played the Turandot and on the way home Tosca.

I don't understand either, why some people find Jussi Björling cold and emotionless. They probably prefer the tasteless, overly lachrymose singing of some bygone Italian tenors.
For me one of Björlings greatest numbers. This video of RESAN TILL DIG is new to me. There are other versions of this piece by him but its also great to see him action. The
greatest FULL LYRIC tenor SINGER in my experience. The most memorable vocal musical tribute to the sea that I know of & ever since I first heard it & in whatever sea & ship I find myself in this music always springs to mind & if I know ahead of time I have Björling‘s recording along as well. I have a special preference for the orchestral accompaniment also.
