    ICU nurse here. Motorcycle crashes are really traumatic because the bodies has to absorb shit tons of energy, resulting in fractures, CT, cervical damage... As you said, EVERYONE should know how to perform first aid and carry a kit. It can be life changing in some cases.
    Wear equipment, even if it’s freaking hot outside. More is better. Anticipation, defensive maneuver and slowing down will save your life.
    Ride safe everyone, there is no point about speeding on open roads.

      Yes that’s the main issue, the body could be visually intact and still there can be spine damage or internal bleeding (especially on bikes) and you can’t tell. The first aid should be somehow integrated into public education or at least for the driving license test!
      I’d like to do some advanced course, travel oriented. I’m traveling alone and into remote areas where just first aid is good but that’s only if ambulance arrives quickly which may not be the case. These are hard to find... 🤷🏻‍♂️

    Your humanity shines through in this video. Your presence and assistance was surely appreciated. We all need caring folks in those moments. 👍

    Paramedic here. I second Heri's comment.
    Crashes can be tough to come up on. Sounds like you did a good job. Does look like it rattled you a bit. Hopefully you were able sit and do a few breathing exercises.
    Ride Safe🤙

      Yes I was rattled after I left. It’s very strange experience and one we don’t really train much (for obviously reasons). It’s the fact you can’t do much, when clearly they are in pain, which was the hardest to take.

    We are all so vulnerable on our bikes. Ride safe.

      @FARANDFURTHER  Před 3 lety +1

      We don’t realize how vulnerable we are! If you hit a tree at 40-50kmh you have good chance of dying! And it all happens in split second! I think we may need to speak about this a bit more....

    The couple is from Croatia, if I got it correctly...didn't get if this happened here in Croatia...but, I can confirm that driving around here is more dangerous than in most countries. People tend to drive fast and carelessly, and we have very high accident rate :-(

    • @FARANDFURTHER
      @FARANDFURTHER  Před 3 lety +1

      Yes you understood correctly, they were from Croatia and happened in Croatia. Some of your roads may look innocent but can be dangerous and I think people do ride fast.

      @@FARANDFURTHER Croatia may be beautiful country, but the traffic (people, roads & infrastructure, regulations) are among worst in so called developed countries. By 'developed' in our case I mean that lot of tax payers money is spent into high profile highways, but still public traffic and traffic in general is terrible. I do speak from both perspective of car and motorcycle driver, got my motorcycle license almost 40 years ago, when I was 17, year before I got the car license too. Defensive driving and staying out of trouble is the key skill I have transferred to my car driving too. I guess people could call it boring, but it did help me to stay up, and drive another day all this years.

      I have done defensive driving course right after I got the driving license and I think it was one of the best things I've done. I think it should be compulsory part of the driving license training.

    Which model of neck brace are you using? Drive safe man

      I've bought the Leatt STX Road, but I have to say that maybe the GPX lineup would fit better with the hydro pack. On the other hand STX is foldable which is quite convenient.

    For when a video of the high exhaust???
    The motorbike have two faces, one plenty of happiness the most of the time and other full of sadness that comes very fast if we are not carefully enough.
    Be safes, and be conscious
