Only a one-second differential. What a run. I actually caught it live. Amazing.
This has always been my favorite classic Mega Man game. I remember going to a local video rental place with my dad almost 25 years ago and picking this game up most weekends.
Now THIS is a fantastic race. They were pretty much neck and neck the whole time. The biggest time difference I noted was 9 seconds.

almond came back from a big deficit only to lose at the last second to chelney. Best race ever.

yeah almond missed that first shot to ufo wily and then was forced to pause to use the last remaining charged pharaoh shot cost him.

The Bright Stopper is actually called the Flash Stopper.
As opposed to Flash Man's stopper, which is the Time Stopper.

Nice runs! I remember playing this after three and man. It was so much easier and I hated that balloon. Just so dumb after the broken rush jet of three! haha!

It's the capture hardware they use. Most games look slightly different it's just more noticeable on older games.
Megaman 1-4 have throw animations four weapons with white on it and different music in the wily stages but 2-4 have that weapons that bounce off robot masters
Why are they playing different versions of the game?
I believe its the only cart almondcity had with him. The NA version is 33 frames slower than the JP version which means it legit could of been the difference maker in our race.
