What?? If your D is in "back-checking" mode, then that's a problem that needs to be addressed with the utmost urgency. You're describing a hail-mary recovery situation following a blown assignment. Deja vu. McDavid's turn-over was reminiscent of the almost-exact same turnover from the All-Star final just days before, which also resulted in a goal. I know it's a completely different kind of work ethic between the two games, so it was surprising he did it again in this game. Ironic that the first goal scored under Jim's tenure was from the very same player that goat Todd sacked. Congrats on the SO to Big Save Dave.

The turning point in this game was also the funniest moment in the game, & that's when Byfield made McDavid look like a beer league player as he violated him & stripped him of the puck, & then left McDavid in the dust as he skated the length of the ice & made a textbook pass to setup the second goal of the game... Big Save Dave Was Spectacular In Net Making 26 Saves In The 4-0 Shutout Win...👑🏒🔥

Defence is timid. Oilers need some aggressive intense d men. Some of these guys quit skating and wave their sticks at the puck. Frozen neck syndrome has set in, and they can't be bothered to look for the forward on the doorstep. No desperation. Can't give the opposition the luxury of standing in front of the net with their stick on the ice, while the d man is watching the puck and waving his stick around like a butterfly net. I'm no genius, but I can make a visual count to five in less that a second. If you see four players boys, there is one missing. Gee I wonder where he could be. Go to a chiropractor so so can turn you head to see the fifth man. I despised Marty, but nobody got to stand in front of that net with enough time to brew tea. Make a trade. Get a guy.

I can’t believe he moved Desharnais up that much look I get he has been improving but come on man. This team has to be ready to win games and not just sit around when playing teams like this. Уже защитники знают ,как надо играть против Макдэвида , Макдэвид с каждым годом будет всё меньше и меньше очков набирать. Его проблема в том ,что он думает можно всё делать своей скоростью.
Очень спорное утверждение. Он сейчас в хороших кондициях. Но в целом, та команда, которая может физически, психологически и интелектуально подавить и связать Эдмонтон - та уверенно их обыгрывает. В плей-офф мало быть мастеровыми, там именно характер и дисциплина. А Эдмонтон бывает слишком индивидуален. Вот, перед Звездными выходными они 16 игр показывали именно слаженность..
Я бы другой момент отметил: МакДэвид денег на конкурсе $ поднял и сразу у него спад случился. Как будто удовлетворился и на отдых) Что-то, все-таки, есть в его ментальности, связанное с пресыщением баблом)
