When watching the game I noticed how many Oilers fans were in the building. Hearing them chant “Let’s go Oilers” was one of the funniest moments of the game.

I get Darnell Nurse is an offensive defence man but there were several moments in this game where I was like, “What is he doing?” He often seems to get caught out of position and has to scramble back to try and stop the opposing team. This Calgary goal is a fine example of that, he left Cody Ceci completely alone.

Now we have the longest win streak of any Canadian team, ever! Let's hope we can match 17 for the league record of any team! This streak has just been unbelievable man and I know we will lose it at some point but I am so glad that didn't happen to the Flames. The Flames fought hard, entertaining game
17, or 18 would be great. But we can't complain if it ended before that. They have been on a tear for the last 24 games, with only 3 loses. Leapfrogged several teams in the standings in a relatively short time.
It's way different having this win streak in the modern day NHL then in the 60's-80's.. it's far more difficult now to get winstreaks like this.

Also love how well Ekholm has fit in to the Oilers lineup. He has added some well needed defense and the occational offense.

Not really. Lots of ex Edmontonians living in Calgary who go to games when the Oilers play. As for the Leafs: OG 6 team plus Ontarians have been moving out west in droves the past few years, so again, they will attend games to cheer on the Leafs (at both Edmonton and Calgary).

Great goaltending by Vladar but the Edmonton onslaught was to much for one man to handle alone. Skinner had another great game. Love this hockey season. No one can predict the winner of the Cup this year. To many good teams in the running for that treasured prize.

Oilers' second goal was really just kinda unfortunate for the Flames. Bouncing off people to land in the net. A goal is a goal, though! Good hockey all around. Hyman showed some amazing speed to grab the puck for that last one.

that hurts man, we didnt play good nor hard enough to deserve the win but man vladar deserved better, the highlights cant even come close to how many breakaways and turnovers he bailed us out from, im fully convinced this game would've ended 4-1 after just first period if not for vladar, first goal was honestly a beauty by edmonton and the 2nd one was insane puck luck bounce off stick, skate, glove, post then going in, but god we could not string an offensive play for the life of us while vladar was keeping us competitive in the game the whole way until he was pulled
