You can tell John is passionate about this role and I love that, the show was fantastic and hilarious, 100% recommend it if you haven’t seen it yet!

If you look at his whole career, he was playing that role for decades

I love that he’s so intouch with his character. Shows that he cares about doing a good job. And by what I’ve personally seen so far he’s absolutely nailed it.

I saw John Cena debut on WWE and wasn't a huge fan of his in ring persona, BUT from what little I've seen him and other people share over the years, he seems like a real stand up guy.
Yeah, you can tell the difference. Especially in their respective roles in DC. The Rock somehow thinks Black Adam is a hero, when he's always been a tyrant and villain, wheras John KNOWS Peacemaker is fucked up, and plays the character accordingly

This is what puts Cena above the Rock. Cena is willing to play characters that are flawed and doesn’t let ego get in the way of good performance. The Rock is too egotistical to let his characters have any flaws

The perfect scene to show how complex Peacemaker is as a character is when he is physically hitting himself for killing Flag even tho when he did it he thought it was the right thing to do, once he has time to think about it he regrets it and even repeats Flag's line about him being a joke which shows he really took that to heart even though he tries to be this uncompromising tough guy when he still has flaws and doubts like any of us normal ppl hav.

I’m going to say this now we need a peace maker LEGO figure
After countless of times of slamming his son Fred onto furniture he becomes a symbol of peace
I can’t help but feel peace maker is one of the more down to earth of the heroes in the DCU, other heroes strive to be virtuous almost to the point of endangering people and don’t feel as human, as where peace maker fixes problems in w practical way which makes him valuable to Waller, while still seeming to be very flawed and emotionally vulnerable about the world around him. The Flash is too caught up in his own issues, Shazam is disconnected from actual good almost entirely, Superman fluctuated between moping about life and being above everyone else like a god, and Batman played by Ben is just, a weird loner who decided that Superman was a threat I guess?
Great season one… now awaiting for S2… want for see how is Peacemaker’s relationship with his now ‘close’ team members… I want to know if he and Vigilante become like Batman and Robin in the continuing story. 😎

So in a lot of ways, Peacemaker really does fit in the MK universe. I mean he himself said in his tower ending that he loves it there and doesn’t think he’ll ever want to leave. I know NR has a theme with the guest characters (MK11 was 80s action heroes and MK1 is streaming series super “heros”) but Peacemaker is honestly a perfect choice outside the theme
