The Japanese word "Arigato" is not related to the Portuguese word "Obrigado." Both mean "thank you" but its been proven over and over again that they're not related. This channel has interesting facts but always do your own research before trusting them lol

Yeah, that´s true. There are many Japanese words that come from the Portuguese language. But the urban myth of the origin of 'arigato' still seems to linger in many people's minds...

Portugal is a fantastic place to visit, I can really recommend, been there last year and absolutely loved it.
Make sure to go to Porto, Lisbon and Sintra

Gallups show that Portugal and Finland are the furthest apart, not just geographically but when it comes to feelin kinship. And yet, there are quite a bit of similarities, more than with Spain or Italy. Being a relatively small country i guess does that, all the big boys cause havoc and we are caught in the crossfire.
