At 7:42 the guy put a queen from his work pile onto the king in the nerts pile to then put them in the now empty space. Is this a legal move? I'm new to the game and I thought you can't stack cards on your nerts pile.

You are not allowed to put anything on the nertz pile you can only take them off and only with a reason. Say if there is a 3 of spades in the middle and the top of your nertz pile has a 4 of spades then you may take that said 4 of spades and put it on the 3 of spades in the middle and then you will flip up another card on your nertz pile.
