Hi, Cat! I too, am using a notebook as a planner in 2024. I'm using an A5 size spiral with dot grid paper and it's working perfectly. I've been working on designing layouts to use in a composition notebook for next year. I'm thinking I'd like to try that. You asked about work. I'm turning 65 in a few days and I'm officially retired from my 30+ year career. However, I did not want to just sit around so I've redesigned myself and have become an Options Trader. It keeps me active, challenged and learning. Trading Options is the perfect work for an introvert like me and I wish I'd learned about it when I was younger. I can't really say that I struggle with anxiety, but I have had some issues with allowing myself to be overwhelmed. I had a pastor tell me one time during a conversation about it, that I needed to remember that it wasn't God who was packing my calendar to overflowing...it was me who was doing that. He was right and although I felt like I was letting God down because I wasn't able to do EVERYTHING that people asked me to do, He reassured me through scripture that I wasn't. Ephesians spoke to me most of all. I hope I didn't miss a question. Thanks for the video, Cat. May the Lord richly bless you in all you do.
Hello, I'm in need of a job, what are the requirements to be an options trader?
That is awesome! I've created my own planners too because I couldn't fund one that fit my style. I'm also dabbling in Options Trading too. Any tips?

@@planningcalm I Trade Options using my own money. I'm certain there are traders who work for big firms, but I'm not interested in making money for anyone but me anymore. I tried going to work for someone else after retiring, but it was a disaster. I worked for the same company for over 30 years and I just wanted to carve my own road now. Thanks for all the videos!!
Wow!!! You are a true inspiration. I don't want to be a trader, but you are a great reminder that we can (and probably should) reinvent ourselves even in later stages of life! AWESOME!!
I’m retired now so I don’t need a regular planner like I use to but this is just a good option and cost effective for a lot of retired folks like myself

Notebooks are true no fail planners. I have a notebook I use for brain dump but have been known to use it for daily and weekly planning.

Hi Cat!🤗 Great video! I think I’ve told you before but I love your handwriting, it’s so pretty!!😍 I do love notebooks and planners, at the moment I’m not using a notebook as a planner. I use the notes pages at the back of my planner in a similar way. I’ve got lots of journals that I’ve started this year that I’ve been enjoying. I keep a notebook to organize my yarn craft projects, it’s got different colored papers that I use as different sections. When I first started planning (as an adult) it was like august, and I didn’t want an academic planner and I couldn’t just go out and buy the planner I wanted so I started in a notebook! I got to use one that I had laying around and I got to play with it and find out what I was looking for so when I got to pick my planner for my birthday I had a much better idea of what to get. And then I had been in rings and I was looking at hobonichis and I didn’t know what I wanted to do so I took a year off and planned in a notebook that I set up and added pockets to and stuff. Notebooks definitely help me to reset and figure out what I’m needing in my planning system. And they’re fun lol Thank you so much, I love this video and it was so great seeing a flip of your notebook planner! I hope you’re getting to enjoy a beautiful week!❤

Walmart has a nice selection of planners at various price points. Have you considered taking the camera and showing what they have to offer? I would really like to see how Walmart in Canada differs from the US
That’s a nice idea, but I am weary of filming in public. I like to respect the privacy of others. Also, I’m not sure if this is true, but I believe Walmart has rules against filming in stores.

I see you're using a pencil to write. I love my handwriting better in pencil, and the ability to erase and re-write...but I've never seen anyone else "plan" in pencil! 😃
