+kayskreed Me too. Instead of keeping the "Starfox Theme" for 64, they revamped it into...well, not this. This is indisputably one of the best OST's on the system, but damn...it was glorious.
You're right about that. I remember reading some Nintendo commentary on the starfox series remarking how they never got the guy back who did the original music and they couldn't quite capture its magic in the sequels
Star Fox had a more militaristic soundtrack, and then 64 became a more ominous and mysterious soundtrack. Either way, both of them are amazing. I'm glad to see Nintendo tried different music strategies.
Star Fox 64's soundtrack was just as militaristic as Star Fox 1 and 2's. The only difference is that they dropped the rock/jazz/electronic stuff for planet levels.
Well, let's agree that they are both amazing soundtracks. In my opinion, strings make the song sound more dramatic, and band beats make the song sound more regal.
It’s funny how Psychology is real. This theme popped in my head today after I did a sudden lane change. Because it was an “evasive maneuver” my brain thought I was playing Starfox again. Classic conditioning right?
Yo that must have been an epic moment lol. The music gave this level a sense of urgency Which is why it popped in your head cause you didn’t want your car shield life to deplete 😂😂😂
The rythm gives a lot of tension and also supports the feeling of floating in space. Its seems to never resolve and makes it unclear whats coming next.
not enough mass and gravity to sustain a ring system, tho if for some reason the moon ever reaches the Roche Limit (which is difficult since the Moon is actually orbiting away from earth) there`s the possibility of creating a ring system with its fragments, same for Mars and its 2 moons.
Before troll face there was an asteroid...
We do a little bit of trolling and covering the ships on oil while it's raining so it can fly
Ha!
This game even with he graphics had a far more serious and deep feel to it than any other sf game. Just so far ahead of its time.
TRUTH
0:59 I absolutely love build-ups like this in music, many of the 90s games had this nailed down.
I'll Take Out The Astroid With My Super Powers
NOSTALGIA BLAST!!
OMG is that asteroid grinning and flying towards me?!?!
That's what it felt like to me too. It felt like a bunch of the asteroids were giant madballs out to kill me, they pissed me off to no end.
Hello again
Those asteroids invented the troll face!
I bet the scary moon from the Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask looks similar to one of those grinning asteroids.
Geodudes overclocked
I really miss these powerful orchestrated military themes. Synonymous to Star Fox. Thanks for bringing me back through memory lane. =)

Easily one of the best soundtracks of the era.
I love this music being reappearing for Venom Airspace, I just love it!

I hear Venom 2 everytime im on the Interstate at night
Damn road raging drivers, makes you wish you had an Arwing blaster XD
One of the most epic themes on the ost
This theme have feeling me really crossing the asteroid zone.
Starfox themes were all so good man.
Hajime Hirasawa was a happy man I bet. Having the best and most versatile 16bits tools at his disposal at the time to just unleash him imagination.
So that asteroid with face grown up to be the legend of zelda Majora's mask moon
Man all I can hear is the times I was pushing my boost and blasting the enemies into spacedust pixels lol. Ahhh childhood memories.
Oh the childhood memories :3
Amazing arrangement, the strings and timpani are quite the iconic duo in Star Fox tracks.
The Troll-face Asteroid is the grandfather of the Majora Moon.
Straight up. Don't run into shit. Ready, go
I love this stage the pump and adrenaline rush 😈😈😈
*frantically mashes select to get out of first person*
I don't know why, but the first person view is very useful in Sector Z.
@@kaiserknight8494 huh, ill keep this in mind
Wait… you could do that?!
@@dabean1502 Yoo!! I was JUST about to say the same thing 😅😅😅

I've driven to this at 95 mph and more. It's amazing.
This wakes you up when you’re driving sleepy at night.🤗🤗🤗
Sounds fun lol
I literally just did the same 😂 🛩️
You can really feel the intensity of flying through an asteroid belt!
"It's quiet... Too quiet. Be careful it's a trap !"
The music in Star Fox is as iconic as John Williams music in Star Wars. It was so well done!
Meme trolloid is behind you!!!!! - Peppy.
ENTERING VENOM AIR DEFENSE ZONE!
Peppy Hare: Everyone, stay alert!
good workout theme. i feel like im about to fight a powerful enemy... ..perhaps I am ;)
Also known as Falco flies in your face and gets hit by you for the 50th time
Not the same without the lasers and the sounds of things whizzing past you
And sometimes the crash sounds
The sound of that triangle thing you needed to shoot in the middle 3 times

its only just clicked that this plays on 5 stages in game, wow
Big Gustav Holst vibes on this one.
I love this game! I was in class one day and my friends where watching me play it and where all surprised that I beat the game under 10 minutes!
How'd you get a SNES into your school?
Mikey 64 most likely used an emulator
Lilly Hale Impressive 🤗

@@pandakekok7319 yeah was gonna say that's a lie outright, but meh let him flex his "muscles" lol

Kind of sounds like Space Battleground from Star Fox Assault
*Hears this on Venom*
*Goes crazy in cockpit view*
Reminds me of terminator 2
This track sounds like clowns chasing you in space lol

this track has a few notes that sound like metal slug...
0:57 my favorite part
no way this is 16-bit music
It is a shame that this does not have a CD release.
Why NINTENDO!!!
It did get one, but in Japan, and out of stock and hard to find, expensive.
CDs weren’t popular in the 1980s
@@AreosOriginal This game came out in 1993. A year before the PS1. We already had some CD based systems and addons too by 93.
Oh, you thought this game would be easy?...
I was able to download this one and meteor theme from a Nintendo site years ago to a blank CD.
