'Despite being a Pastor's wife, I was addicted to bhang and other drugs,' Pastor Rahab Mwangi

  • Pastor Rahab Mwangi knows what it means to be enslaved in a drug addiction. What started as a mere taste of cigarette exploded to being addicted to bhang and other hard drugs.
And even when she got married to a church pastor, the addiction didn't leave her.She would leave her children all alone at night to go partying.
Today, Pastor Rahab is an ordained minister with a special call to those struggling with different addictions.

Public confession of an addiction calls for rare courage. Thanks pastor Rahab for using your own personal experiences and struggles to teach the young generation about the dangers and consequences of drugs. Sometimes God turns a faulty past into an unbelievable asset for a future good.

Exactly.. and if it's and in many time especially in Primary,, the parent are asked to put their children's spending money in an envelope and they hand it and to the teacher or person in charge of the trip.. .I Understand a child can accumulate funds from simple pocket money and use it for drugs, alcohol and cigarettes or as she put it drugs but it is wrong as for her to say she lied to her parents about school trips as this can have repercussion to her former school.

How much can you give your child for chips and chocolate everyday after school. They have school lunch which you pays for. Then they have dinner at home. Not unless you don't cook dinner for your children. Then I can understand your reasons. We in diaspora have to be straight with but children. I know if a child is caught in this situation like Rahab,, and cases are there I don't dispute but we have to teach our diaspora and also at home country children truth, facts and this can only happen with not spoiling them. I don't believe in my child spending money for chips and chocolate after school evryday while he can get home and eat food I have cooked. At 14 years if am at work he can fix himself simple meal. That's called age appropriate life skills.

@@lindamuthoni1389 also we have to consider their health. Am or letting my child eat chips and chocolates everyday after school. Even if I have money to give them which many of us in diaspora don't have anyway, it's not right for their health and well being. My son is attending a programme in UK called Duke of Edinburgh programme and part of that is where they are taught money management. So I can't consume this idea of a child eating chips and chocolates everyday. He as much is not spoilt for such treats.

Again, how could she smoke all these years without the parents taking note, how negligent could they be as pastors. She should be authentic enough for the story to make sense and blesss.
