I do remember when i saw and bought "Demons and Wizards" because by then, covers did mean something. One could guess that there was something special by looking at a Roger Dean cover. Since that day, when i did arrive home and put the needle on "The Wizzard"...its been a 50 years ride. I do remember asked my father to get me all their records from their first until "Demons and Wizards" and he did ! A couple of years later, i did feature (for 20 years), Uriah Heep s´music on my radio show (in Panamá). Congratulations Mick Box ! Sad that some of your bandmates died.
Got My Box Set On The day that it was Announced that We had Lost Ken Hensley....Yes i cried ... I have seen Uriah hHep well over 150 times going back to the days of Spice ...I Think the Windows At The Red Lion In Leytonstone at Still rattling....This Box Set is amazing and although i have all the Albums both on Vinyl and Cd.. it is Still something that i would recommend to all followers and fans of Uriah Heep to Invest in....The Booklet and other things are a very special addition to the vibe and the 4 cds of personal favourite songs of Mick ,Kenny, Lee and Paul Newton are all supurb........Long may The Band Run...Stay Safe and Keep Well everybody.
Dear Mick. I was only a one year old baby when my Dad first heard you on the Old Grey Whistle Test for the first time? (I think). I seriously wasn't very well. I was weaned on Uriah Heep. I am now 52. Thank you for 50+ years of superb music and the great influence in you had in my musical career as I now have six keyboards and three saxophones... I never could play guitar though!
I was presented to Uriah Heep in 2013 by my husband - who by that time was my boyfriend - and my brother in law, they showed me a live show and it felt so inspiring! The first listen was the wonderful "July Morning"! Love the band since then!

Both bands hsve been my favorites and at the ripe old age of 61, your music is still rotated in my CD player. I never had the pleasure of seeing you guys perform live. You look good brother. With all my respect to the band's output in the early-to-mid-1970s, I think that at least now they have to change the cover of Abominog. The old wise man Mick Box with a cross on his chest does not collide well with one of the nastiest covers in classic hard (along with BS's Born Again)... The guy is going to die at one point in the near future - would he like to meet that creature from the cover in person? I don't think so. Other than that, the box is nice. I'd give it 3,5 stars out of 5. And certainly, all their studio albums from Salisbury through Firefly are excellent.
