    www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/h...
    The HJC i 70 is a sport touring bargain, but don’t let the price fool you. This lid does everything you need it to without breaking a sweat. Or the bank. An advanced polycarbonate composite shell is completed by a one-touch open/close face shield and central locking system. Inside, a variety of vents move air across the rider’s head to maintain a comfortable temperature. Additional features include a SuperCool moisture-wicking interior, glasses grooves for sunnies or prescriptions, a HJ-31 Pinlock-prepared face shield (insert lens sold separately), and a one-touch integrated SunShield. The HJC i 70 is DOT approved

    To anyone concerned about comm compatibility with the side actuated internal sunvisor slider...another pro reviewer showed a clamp mount install and there was no interference at all. Considering one of these for myself. Luckily, I don't live far from Revzilla and will be making the trip to try this helmet and a few others on when the time comes.

    I have this helmet in teal and I absolutely love it. I'm a size Medium, and it fits like it was made for me. I've had for about 4 months, and have no issues. My visor doesn't fog at all if all of my vents are open, but my fiance's does. The sun visor is amazing and is still crystal clear vision. The chin strap does feel like it could be moved forward an inch or so, because it does feel a little choaking, but it's a breeze to remove with gloves. We've ridden in high winds at 36-40 deg, and 80 deg weather, both feel fine in this helmet.

    Just bought this helmet and so far so good. Bought it in a size medium and it fits perfect on my rounded head. It’s a lot smaller than my HJC f-17 in size, it is also lighter which should help on the freeway. I love how the bottom back of the helmet is higher up then other brands. You can look straight up without the back of the helmet touching the back/shoulders. Love it!!

    • @RevZilla
      @RevZilla  Před 4 lety

      The CL-17 is indeed a round oval, whereas the i 70 is more intermediate oval. If you want a rounder full-face helmet with an internal sun visor, you might consider the AGV K3 SV. It's a bit closer in fit to the CL-17. -DrewZilla

      If price is your main concern, then this is the better value. However, if you like the fit and finish of Shoei, the RPHA 70ST is definitely closer to the Shoei in that regard. The shell construction and interior liners are nicer than the i 70. As for the Cardo, it will easily fit both helmets. -DrewZilla

    Bought this helmet 2 weeks ago. The Weight is fantastic. I love the smoke drop down visor. I still get ringing ears after a long ride, so earplugs or earphones can help.
    Airflow is pretty good when moving.
    I haven't hit rain yet, so we'll see how it handles the wet in the future.

    Hey folks. Is this a more sport oriented position in terms of ergonomics and riding position? I have an IS-17 and I ride a Street Triple so my riding position varies from upright to tucked. With the IS-17 if I tuck I can't see forward very well which I can understand as the IS-17 is more an all arounder helmet. Hoping the i70 is more sport touring so I could see better when tucked. I am also looking at the RPHA 70 ST but thinking the i70 could be a less expensive option. Thanks for any feedback :)

    • @RevZilla
      @RevZilla  Před 5 lety

      This is still aimed at a more upright position like the IS-17, so it's not so great in a full tuck. -DrewZilla

      @@RevZilla ok thanks. So a Shoei GT Air. HJC RPHA 70 ST would be more sport oriented. It's not easy choosing a helmet for semi sporting bike like a Street Triple. I ride upright and tucked. I guess Sport Touring helmets are the better options.

      Unfortunately, the Asian and Euro fits are very different, so it's difficult to fit both. Additionally, we don't get the Asian fit helmets here in the United States, so we cannot compare them.
