Dang the ending is so sad. You know Mono is such a good kid, caring, and helping Six and staying with her through the whole game. Seeing him left all alone at the end and turning into someone he isn't is just rough.

I don’t see many ppl talk about how Mono removed his Bag/Hats after finishing off Thin man. So I think Six probably recognized him as Thin man because he removed his paper bag probably
i was thinking that 2 days ago but now im thinking that older mono wanted to chase young mono and capture him so he won't be around six anymore. Older Mono didn't want younger to be around six, because of what she done when they were kids.

Everyone was curious about what was going on in LN1, and now it's 2021 and Bandai Namco still didn't give us any answers. All we can do is think, and not know
Right I don’t think she betrayed Mono specifically cause she didn’t care about Mono.
Little nightmares 2 shows us a more humane side of Six that we didn’t get to see before, and having her heartlessly betray him is something that feels too simple.
My personal theory is that if it’s a prequel to the first game but a sequel to Very Little Nightmares, she remembered what happened to the little girl and couldn’t bare to get too attached.
Sequel, same thing except with RK and possibly shadow six having a strong influence over her.
She’s always been hesitant about Mono
And she looked really hesitant to drop him, but she ended up doing it.
So that’s my personal take on it but that’s just me.
So “Dark” six is actually a Six’s interference counterpart that was created through Six’s capturing by the Thin Man. Similar to the many children seen throughput the Pale City. Like a faint reminder of who that person once was.

Shadow Six was always present within her however her shadow form kept showing up on the recurring motif of LN which is hunger. Anytime Six would eat shadow six would be somewhere on screen easy to miss but she was there. After gaining the ladies powers her shadow counterpart gained more power over her mind

I found it so weird throughout the game why the thin man seemed so much more, normal then the other monsters. This ending blew me away and shocked me to my core

With the secret ending seeming to hunt at the game being a prequel and yet the developers keep saying it's a sequel I reckon six might be apart of this time loop mono is in to. Also I don't hate six because I reckon she's still good on the inside but it's the dark six that takes control.
This is just a theory. She didn’t have her soul, when thin man took her you can see her soul, and if you look at the secret ending you can see there now separate entities. When she betrayed him she had no idea who she was. She didn’t know who mono was, that all left with her soul, and even If it didn’t and she did remember then she still wouldn’t save him, her soul was gone she had no feelings. All she knew is that she must survive.
I've worked it out. There was a description saying that the signal tower was repressing Six's powers and killing her. With the tower gone, her powers are returning and so her hunger begins again.
No wonder she was helping mono just to use him as an item

Six could be evil, but if she isn’t this sets up a LN3. Imagine that there is no loop and LN3 is six going back to the pale city to save mono

I believe that this means that there was a time loop. Mono is betrayed by six, and is entrapped in the tv realm. Slowly over time he comes to the conclusion that he can use his powers to go back in time in order to stop six and thus he becomes the tall man/tv man. In doing so he merely wanted to save Mono, but his past self stops it. He tries to show his past self how much of a monster six is by transforming her into that selfish destructive monster, but Mono still saves her and gets betrayed. This may also show many children in little nightmares have powers, Mono controls tvs and six through various means (eating people) can absorb power. This also likely shows that when these children grow up they become powerful monsters, maybe such as the lady from Little nightmares 1. So it's possible that children, at least the actual living ones, are kill on sight. Maybe before little nightmares of any kind children became monsters who made the world chaotic and turned everyone into monsters? But these are my ideas on this game's lore.
There's also a secret end if you find all the glitched kids which shows even more important lore, but that's better if it's experienced blind.
Six didn't betray Mono, dark six appeared which means she would have accidentaly eaten him, so she dropped Mono to try and save him.

so if the tall guy was monos future self maybe the other version of six we se at the end is six's future self when she eats the lady. we hear after the glitched six has gone a sound of a stomach rumbling and we see a poster of the mall were little nightmares one took place. i think that the future six is pointing the past six in the direction of the lady. i am still amazed with the little nightmare series and i really hope that we get to see a third come out soon.

My theory is that she didn’t really want to, Shadow Six lowkey influenced her to.
So-I have this theory that Shadow Six is actually the ghost of the girl in the yellow raincoat from Very Little Nightmares, and that the very end of the first game when Six turned around to face us, that was actually when Six first met Shadow Six, not looking to us, but to *her*
I believe the girl’s ghost latched onto the raincoat, because the achievements in both the first and the second game (not counting very little nightmares) make a big deal out of the raincoat.
First game achievement from memory cause it’s a lot longer, just before entering the Lady’s Quarters: “it’s a stormy day, good thing you have your raincoat” which I found oddly specific for LN (I’m just gonna call it that from now on 😅)
Sequel achievement which is much easier to remember, when six finds the raincoat again: “true colors” not as specific but it shows Six is connected to the raincoat specifically.
I also believe Shadow Six influences her through music boxes.
In Very LN, a secret is unlocking music boxes, so there is a connection there. (Also fun fact the very last music box is of shadow six, and the last or first one is almost always one of the most important ones in video games. I think in this case it’s the last one, right before she dies)

And when Six kinda went psycho crazy there, she was very protective of that music box.

Ooh, I love that theory. My theory's just as wild, I won't go into too much detail, but I believe that although Little Nightmares 2 is a sequel, it all loops back to the first game, which has to do with Six's yellow raincoat. Because Six doesn't have the raincoat at the beginning of Little Nightmares 2, so I believe the first time she wears it is in Little Nightmares 2, then she leaves Mono behind to become Thin Man, to protect him from herself and her darker tendencies to consume other living beings, then she returns to The Maw (which is why she's seen wearing her yellow raincoat at the start), then after defeating The Lady, she leaves The Maw, rids herself of her inner darkness and heads off to find a way to save Mono. Because Six doesn't use any powers in Little Nightmares 2, but after defeating The Lady in the first Little Nightmares, she gained powers. So, confusing, I know... but I believe that Little Nightmares 2 both takes place before and after Little Nightmares, at the same time, perhaps through some time travelling hijinks? Who knows?
Is it me or do I noticed six saying something to mono at the end because as you can see, mono's legs stopped shaking once he looked at six for a moment and then Six lets go of him. Idk I like overanalyzing things tbh-
@@rattocatto1906 Haha, same, over-analysis of shows, games, films, books, comics and other media is the stuff that keeps me sane. But yeah, it does and maybe with Mono's legs shaking as he hangs from the ledge, it could be due to his fear of falling or slipping out of Six's grasp. But then once Six says something to him, possibly something along the lines of "Sorry, but I don't want to hurt you, this is for your own good", before letting him go, maybe Mono loosens up because he either freezes in shock at his confusion to what Six meant, or it could be that he understands what she means and calmly accepts his fate, as he and Six could have a strong link to each other, strong enough to know what the other is thinking. Who knows?
Honestly this just shows how dangerous some of these kids are and how unstable six and mono really are. Granted I dont think she should have left him like that but at the same time she did save him from herself.
That is just selfish though and she didn't save anyone in that situation. She stilled betrayed instead of trusting him and telling him what her hunger was she betrayed him and turned him into the slim man. Or they could have went separate ways She did it for her own selfish reasons if that what she is or she just evil.

Yeah especially if this is a sequel to the first game, because then she already knows what that hunger can do, and while at first she probably wouldn’t have cared, Mono saved her from whatever the hunger was going to do to her, he saved her on multiple occasions, so the least she could do was save him from herself, even if it seemed like betrayal.
Also in the secret ending it kinda looked like she was on the verge of crying.

I feel like there could be two reasons for why six did what they did, they either dropped mono to save mono from six because at the end you heard their stomach growl showing that they were hungry and maybe six dropped mono because they felt that maybe they were going to eat mono to satisfy their hunger. My second theory is six knew mono was thin or maybe she recognized mono because I also realized mono wasn't wearing his bag/hat which maybe he wore so six wouldn't recognize him (but I'm not sure) so I don't really feel like six betrayed mono i feel like they either did it to save mono or to save themself.
(let me know your theories I would love to hear what you guy's think)
It could be Six trying to save Mono from herself because her hunger problem was coming back, or it could have been Six freaking out because she recognized Mono as the thin man. Or ... it could be Dark Six taking over and seeing Mono's powers as a threat (if Little nightmares 2 is indeed a sequel of the first game then the dark power Six absorbed from the Lady cannot be without consequences on her psyche I think)

i'm in awe of just how well executed this sequel was. my respect for bandai namco and tarsier is through the roof honestly it raised so many good questions, and i often find myself annoyed or frustrated at endings similar to this one but they put so much thought and care into it--there's so much to unpack and explore this game was so well done ugh i love it

The runaway kid gets turned into a gnome by the Lady at some point. Then he finds a sausage on the ground and observes it in the final scene. During the main game, Six enters the same room with the gnome and sausage.

I'm really thinking six is the lady at this point. If everybody is in some sort of time loop, I feel it makes sense since mono had a dream about the thin man and six had a dream about the lady. I rather six ate him instead of dropped him, at least the loop would end.
I mean in the first game, we see at the ending that Six uses a mirror to defeat the big lady and then she eats her and steals her power, now considering this is a sequel, that tower was some sort of jammer which halted her powers, but since Mono disabled it Six's hunger must have resumed and thus six was forced to betray him in order to actually save him from her since she was a danger to everyone in society, she viewed Mono as an actual friend so she was willing to drop him instead of eating him and stealing his Thin man powers, thats my theory.
In the end it was a forced choice on her because it was either she eats her friend or saves her friend by dropping her, and since she didn't want Mono to die she dropped him to save him from her.
@@horrorpleb249 People are saying that wasn't six at all. It was dark six because of the secret ending and the shadow dark six casts suggest dark six is somebody else. Also six's transmission is looking at dark six while a paper to the maw is on the floor making it seem this is a prequel. So its making me think a couple things. Since mono had a dream about the thin man and is now the thin man, dark six has to be the lady since six had a dream about her.
Through out the entire game Mono keep on trying to do whatever the freak with the TV and everytime it’s Six who pull him out of it. She must have regconized who Mono is cause he is the only one who can bring Thin man to life.
Man, i hope mono gets his revenge
Six was his friend. Either way I would think mono would do that since Thin Man grabbed Six and Six was terrified when she got out. If Thin Man did that then The Thin Man we just saw could do the same thing. Either way Six came back alive so I think he didn’t really get his revenge since mono rescued her.

So heres my theory.
I think when six got taken by the thin man the real six never got back out. I think Mono failed to truly save her. I think the six we see mono defeat isnt the real her. I think she was clinging to the music box because it was the last remnant of her humanity and Mono destroyed it thinking it was saving her. At the end when he is dealing the final blows to the music box it looks like six is transforming back to normal but it also looks like he is killing the light within her.
When she final stands up she looks extremely menacing staring at him instead of rejoicing or acting like she normally would to be reunited with him. Thats because i dont think thats truly her or its a dark version of her from the realm beyond the TV.
Throughout the game there are several metaphorical moments where MONO has to run and jump and grab her hand and she faithfully saves him and pulls him back up. But here at the end after she had disappeared into the TV realm from the thin man the first time this happens again she lets him fall to his doom instead.
I think that shadow form we see of six is the real six or at least her humanity. When the thin man initially takes her we see this shadow of her left behind right away. We see it again when she is guiding him after the train escape. And then again at the end when the fake six comes through the TV
WHICH isnt a power the original six had. She couldnt go through TV's the way MONO could now at the end after she had been taken she has this power? This fake Six is also the one we see in the Maw. She is a dark creature hence the feeding on rats, to children/gnomes and finally human flesh and stealing the ladies powers.
The original Six was already showing deteriorating mental stability warming her hands with the doctor burning alive, breaking the dolls fingers. Her being dragged into the TV by the thin man made things worse. Then Mono crushed the music box the last thing of her humanity and boom! Dark six. Perhaps six is the little nightmare.

Mono being the thin man doesnt 100% add up either unless there is a time loop. He physically ages into the thin man however six is still a child when we see the thin man either at the maw or here in this game? it doesnt make sense how can she still be a child she shouldve aged like him. Unless something aged mono and transformed him forcibly into the replacement for the thin man.
Also that fucking building is alive!!! did anyone notice when you are running from the eyes they follow MONO ONLY! its like six isnt even there or its not concerned with six's existence at all why?

Just so everyone knows that this most likely confirms that this took place before little nightmares 1. After six betrays mono, (it chould be that she didn't want to eat him. But with six, I feel like this is unlikely. She most likely we never a normal sane child because of how she was found just breaking fingers off a mannequin. This was a hint that something is seriously wrong with her) the shadow is formed after the interference of the tower, and it points her to the maw. There she can eat people whenever she needs, and can become more powerful from eating the lady.

So a lot of people are confused as to whether this game is a prequel or a sequel, I personally think it’s a prequel to the first game and there are 3 main reasons. For one Six finds her signature raincoat in the pale city so unless it was mass produced or something lol, it doesn’t make sense that she would just reacquire it out of nowhere after the first game.
The last 2 and most obvious indicators that it’s a prequel are the fact that in the secret ending, shadow Six looks at a poster of the Maw, the setting of the first game, and directly afterwards Six’s stomach grumbles, a major plot point of the first game. With those 2 points it’s fair to say that Six headed to the Maw to satiate her hunger but hey it’s just a theory.
So either the devs were trolling us into thinking this was a sequel or we’re missing something-

In very Little Nightmares we basically have 2 x six, at the end one of the dies but what if that’s not true. Both survive and the six with the raincoat from the other six makes her way to the maw. And six 2 gets stranded on the mainland where she hides herself in the basement of the hunter

I believe that this game comes after little nightmares 1 because the monsters from the first game are still addicted to the tv screens, as we can see with the janitor. By killing whatever signal was controlling the people, ie getting chased by Steve (that’s what I call the mass of flesh and eyeballs I’m weird ik) and ultimately making the signal tower get destroyed, the nightmare should be over. Except thin man still exists, and he is going to show up in the next game (if there is one I hope so)

It kind of make much more sense to how the ending of the mobile game, the previous "Six" fell into a lake of tar, never to be seen again as her yellow raincoat floats away gently into somewhere, we know that its not the Six we known because her hair is braided. Then we can see a cliff where there's a girl in white dirty dress coming down safely, this many have speculated as the Six we know in LN1 and 2
Connecting this to LN2, remember what dress Six originally wearing when we first met her? Yes, a dirty white dress, she survived the Mansion but eventually got kidnapped by the Hunter during her relentless escape from basically everything in this world, held as captive before finally meeting Mono, getting her signature yellow raincoat from the previously died girl, then followed her journey with Mono before fate broke them apart

My theroy and what I got form that was Mono was the hanging man from the maw- or that he’s now the new thin man and the thin man is basically his monster. When Shadow Six shows up at the end of the game after Six leaves Mono behind, Shadow Six would be her monster. This game could take place either before or after the first game, yet it’s still amazing to try to see the bigger picture.
If you look at Six’s shadow, there’s a larger shadow that could be reflecting Mono’s monster as the new thin man. And if I’m right... if there’s a new little nightmares game or dlc, Six could try to free Mono like how he freed her but it would probably have a price to pay to have Mono saved from the vicious Signal that has ahold of everyone and now has ahold of Mono.
But hey! That’s just a theory! A GAME THEROY!

My theory is that if this takes place after the Maw, then maybe since Six ate The Lady maybe her dark self came from The Lady after eating her. Or I could be wrong, since she ate a gnome in the Maw.
I think Six wasn't an ordinary kid from the start. Mono for example seems to already have some powers without being the thin man, it could be that Six and her hunger are not normal, and by eating the Lady she was able to get her powers somehow and so maybe Six already had some vampiristic powers and this dark self of her is literally her dark side influencing him

Well I think in the original timeline mono and six grew up together being the thin man and the lady being a married couple and I think the lady cheated on him causing him to commit suicide just like six betraying mono and of course the final moments where mono sits on a chair growing up as the thin man, that is a reference of the hanging man. I think the lady is the reason why the thin man had to kidnap six because he knew that there's an inner demon inside her and he tried to get rid of the demon but it failed

For me, the chronology is Very little nightmare as 1st episode, you play a girl that is not six but just wear the raincoat Six will found later. Then LN2 and the last one LN1. My theory is more literal, I don’t believe in the loop one, I think the world is just chaos because of the tower and his transmission. If you look at the description of all the characters, Mono is described as a special kid who is « hiding » and that’s why he wear a bag, he feels more protected. Then when you look at the Thin Man description, he is describe as living « a endless journey » and that he is « looking for something ». I really believe Mono, is a special kid like Six, he is capable of stopping/creating interference with The Transmission. The Thin Man is looking for him, he is haunting him. When Mono killed the Thin Man, he put his bag off because he doesn’t need to hide anymore. Six react to The Transmission with her glitch self and have an endless appetite, she is described as « a special, starving child » and also as someone who is not really trustful. I really believe she is just a survivor, she is empathetic in such a cruel world. We can see this when she warmed herself after she burned the doctor alive in the oven. She just do the right thing to survive and benefit from all situation even if it’s cruel, like when she ate a gnome in LN1 even if they were innocent and was helping her. So, she dropped him because it was the best thing to do to survive, the tower will have Mono and she will run away safely, they will not have to care for each other anymore and that’s also better for her survival. At the end, Mono will just become the monster that was haunting him…

when y’all realize that in LN1, Six goes to a room to find a hanged man. That hanged man is the Thin Man, Mono. The door matches the door that closes at the end of Mono growing into Thin Man. Pain is all I feel right now.

No that’s isn’t mono. As we see mono has some sort of powers. Mono turning into thin man still gives him powers but to teleport. Really weird but I’m guessing he knows how to control them now to his own advantage. If mono was died we would’ve seen a cutscene of him killing himself since little nightmares loves teasing us like this. We see Thin Man go for Six and Six only meaning that the Thin Man we see now could do the same thing since it’s a loop. Six is always going to be in the loop since in the secret ending we see a black six meaning six is affected by mono and we could see them return to face eachother in the final game (I’m guessing final game). This is just my theory. Please feel free to criticize. I really want to see these theories 😆.
