There is.. a free dlc about his trip to hellhiem, but I know what u mean I agree I was hoping for their take on the catastrophe.. but in the real life mythology.. Baldr was still alive at ragnarok and avenged Odin by killing Fenrir, then I think Jormangandr killed Baldr, the Baldrs mother Frigga avenged her son.. so assassins creed have done their own version.. it's not true to the actual mythology.
So they kind of messed up the actual war part a bit.
But I was hoping they'd do their version of it anyway. Cos the original first Odin memory bit still feels unfinished.
So the hellheim dlc coming soon really has alot to live up to.
You should check out the true stories they're very interesting.. there's a quite a few telling of those tales on CZcams

@@jimsus69I think it's because 'Ragnarok' in the AC universe was just another one of the extinction events of the Isu. All of the Norse mythology stuff is just a filter shown to Eivor to make her see Odin's memories in a way she could comprehend. So how did Odin cause the solar flare? That's what I'm not getting. I know this whole thing is the story of the Isu trying to avoid their doom told through the lense of myth, so there has to be a "real world" explanation for what actually happened.
If Odin caused it, then why didn't any of the calculations and simulations point to him being the cause? There would only need to be one solution, prevent Odin from causing it.
Unless they just mean Odin's actions are the reason the Jotun invade Asgard. But they talk like thats not the case.
I'd love to see what actually happened, without the lense of myth.

      Both of them.
Odin was the tyrant dark Lord of his time.
Juno is " herkkon" in ac valhalla and the main antagonist of the series but at the time In the isu world she was not yet fully the head dark Queen odin was in her way.
Once she worked her magic to get him out of the way, She would then go on to become the main antagonist of the series which we've seen since assassins creed one. However odin was able to cheat his death but hasn't been able to reform himself like Loki was in basim
Loki has his reasons for being a villain but he also caused his own problems That were unjustified.

One before finishing the dlc and after), The way Eivor is talking makes it seem like he finally embraced Odin but at the same time, there’s no certainty behind it. Felt very anti-climatic. I very much enjoyed the dynamic between them in the main game but this kinda makes things weird. On one side, it takes away that whole arc of Eivor denying Odin but its also very intriguing playing as, essentially, an ISU. Not just any isu either, but the one that caused the great catastrophe.
Valhalla DLCs have kinda ruined Eivor for me. Ireland had an excuse cuz it takes place before mostly everything but SoP takes places 10 years after and Eivor just degrades instead of developing and in DoR, it feels half assed and im not quite sure whats the situation.

Like this DLC story could've been told straight as it actually were in the past, as could the similar scenes in the main campain, or the Atlantis DLC of Odyssey. They chose to do a mythical fantasy reskin instead, with a thin but believable excuse, which really only points to Ubisoft wanting to make RPGs in a narrative/aesthetic genre that the franchise had traditionally not fit into, yet still wanting to use the brand name for exposure.
The series damn sure needed some reworking after all this time, I can only agree with you there, but I seriously doubt a nordic warrior doing flashy combat maneuvers with a burning axe or hallucinations of a god transforming into stuff while killing giants and monsters is the first thing on _anyone's_ mind when they see the words "Assassin's Creed" on a box cover.
