Bendemeer Light was launched in the 2012 May BTO exercise alongside 5 other projects - Two in Punggol, one in Choa Chu Kang, one in Sengkang and another in the Kallang/Whampoa estate (same as Bendemeer Light).
Prices of both the 3 and 4-room flats were going at around $360,000 and $525,000 respectively, making it relatively costly for a BTO, but it certainly didn't stop people from applying anyway.
Today, 4-room flats are going for around $900,000 - some of the highest in Singapore.
But with nice unblocked views, transport links, amenities, and being within walking distance to the Park Connector, it does have a lot to offer. For families, it is within 1km to 3 primary schools too.
That said, while it is convenient, the area could feel too urban for some, especially since it's surrounded by roads that see high traffic. Ultimately, this would really depend on what your priorities are. For this price, you can get almost any HDB in Singapore - so really think if the location or view is something you value, otherwise, perhaps there are better alternatives for you.

Quite a convenient development.... That dining table is way too narrow to be 6 seater, or even practical. Even for 3 seater I guess guests will have to hold the plates on their hands..

I have lived in bendemeer Road blk 43 when I was 6yo till 28 yo. I can hear cars noise 24/7 😂 didn't have a quiet night ever before. But good thing is I can walk home from Clark Quay after party 😂 but siong. Location is central good for many people but I lived long enough to appreciate serenity over "central" location. Afterall the time spent at home is more important than travelling.

Why would someone turned their home into a cafe theme. It may be a novelty at first. But do you really come home to a "cafe" everyday?

Because 🤡 “Cafes” are known for being beautiful and cozy! It would fix in perfect for a home style with touches of cafe style! If you knew anything about cafe culture it’s viewed as a second home to many! Like y’all closed minded 🤡s are a mess! Cafe style in homes and businesses are beautiful!!!!
$50k? Which ID company is that? Pray tell. I’ve been trying to engage ID for my 3-room flat and everyone has quoted me $60k.
Probably renovated or locked the price in before the crazy hike. I showed several IDs their own projects and they were telling me how something that cost about 70k in 2019 would cost about 110k today. Mad market.
But anyway, I'd suggest looking at Comfort Home Renovation. They were able to quote me at 50k for a 83sqm 4rm. Pretty good, had most of the bells and whistles I wanted too with very little compromises (but I went with a different, more expensive ID in the end because I wanted more stylistic designer stuff).
for real, been to so many ID for my 4rm and have been quoted 60k and up. finally found one at 48k but i had to really trim down many excesses
If you can design yourself, I vouch for Chun Xiang Renovation (also known in the circle as CX reno).
Try Casa they do package but the wait is long
