Instead of our usual insider tour, we’ve decided to change things up a little this week. We had the opportunity to tour two different units in estates that are super close to each other, but could not be more different in age (one was built in 1978 and the other was in 2017). As such, we thought it would be interesting to compare between the two (Telok Blangah Parcview and Blangah View). While they share very similar names, there are definitely differences to take note of.
Special thanks to both homeowners for taking the time to show us around their lovely homes!

🤔
Me : Genuinely Think that it was quite A Cool Video to watch
🧐
always the older HDB layouts. Much better layouts and spacious
Older is gold
older HDB you can reconfigure to your liking.
soothing voice and background music. Never would have thought a hometour video will help you unwind after a hectic day
Aww thanks for your kind words!
Thank you. This is such a soothing and wonderful channel for featuring all these beautiful HDB homes in Singapore. Juliana is really an icing to the cake. She is simply such a beautiful and articulate host that connects all the dots for this wonderful channel. Keep up the good work guys !!😍😍😍
So nice of you! Thank you for your comment, Shawn! 😁
Another great presentation by Juliana! Telok Blangah is a great neighbourhood indeed, and I’ve lived here for almost 50 years. I enjoyed all the historical context as well as renovation and decor tips in this video too.
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it!
I truly enjoy watching all the tours from Stacked Home! It's short, informative and covered all aspects. And I love Juliana as the host!
Glad you enjoyed watching our insider tour series! 🥰
Juliana's presentation is just awesome, always enjoyed stacked homes...
Thank you, Ed! 😄
To be honest, I really love how after each and every video~
The Explanation and Informative Moments in the video = 👍👍👍👍👍

Awww... ...
That's so sweet of you to reply@@StackedHomes
Love these home series
Thanks for watching, Kelvin! ☺️
Very tastefully done! Owner is ID enough:) Very well done.
Thanks for watching 😄
Very well presented. Thank you.
Glad it was helpful, Wong! 😃
as much as I love big spaces in old HDB but the newer HDB (BTO) has better layout design if were to compare old 5 rooms with new 5 rooms. Biggest factor for me is that all old HDB flat have a huge waste pipe in the toilet which is very unsightly for me. 2nd factor is the air-con compressor ledge, newer HDB has it and I feel safer and settled having one. Still, a nice comparison video to get a general idea.
Wow thanks for your insights! Glad you shared it here :)
Yeah, no matter how much reno costs are thrown in, those huge pipes in the bathroom and toilets are still unsightly.
@@Clytia well you are spending less than an hour of your time in bathrooms, you can always close the doors.
@@zhen86 Not seeing them doesn't mean they don't exist. But if that makes people feel better, yeah, why not?
The most beautiful thing in the video is Juliana. :)
Aww how sweet!
Beautiful both HDB flats
Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
Great video! Wondering if Stacked Homes can do a comparison between Telok Blangah Parcview and Telok Blangah Ridgeview?
What is the color palette for the master bedroom of second house tour?
Would love to know the interior designer for the first house if possible! :)
The old HDB unit is nice. The new HDB unit ID is supposedly industrial look but introduction of timber accent piece does make it neither here nor there, too many little items especially the 2 common bedrooms making it kinda messy too. What is the God of Fortune paper cutting doing at the top of the front door?
Haha well to each their own! We do like the old HDBs due to their more flexible layouts. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
Love your v
Thanks!
Could have opt for a 70" tv to cover enough of the partition wall...
55" tv looks a little underwhelming
Oh good point!
Why are the locations hardly in the East?
We're looking to feature more projects in the east. If you do know anyone in the east who is willing to feature their home, feel free to reach us at hello@stackedhomes.com 👌
Are these houses for sale?
They are not at the moment I'm afraid.
Not a fan of wardrobes blocking the windows
Yes for rooms where the window spans the length, it can be a tough choice given the limited space.
TOP 1978...LOLOLOL..$655k?....well at least she mentioned the most critical point first!😆😆😆😆
Guess for the other TOP...2022...well, i guess they had learnt what are the mistakes made by their earlier gen and knew what to do just after MOP!!😆😆😆😆😆
location plus it's a 5 room. The BTO is 4room.
Moved 8 times? They addicted to moving house? You don't really earn moving from 5 room resale to 5 room resale.
If the purpose of these home tours is to let viewers see the homes, then please show more of them rather than inserting the presenter in almost every shot. Stacked used to have interesting videos. But I find your output unwatchable now because of your obsession with showing the presenter.
Pls la bro, dont be so mean to the presenter….the showcase of the subject is just nice…
Thanks, Norman! 😊
I've nothing against the presenter. I actually think she is doing a great job. But there's such a thing as too much of a good thing. Seeing her in almost every shot is irksome when all one wants is a clear look at the home being showcased. I wish the producers would remember that the homes are the stars and allow them to shine. Of course if the purpose of these videos is actually to exploit the presenter as click bait, then by all means carry on. Stacked is a good channel on the whole. I wish you all the best.
I have rewatch the video, the time showcase about the home is not too much and also not too little, different person has different preference of too much or too little. Cannot just use your preference to blanket all. Actually u just unconsciously find yourself glued to the presenter instead of the house, just look at the house not presenter and u will know what i mean LOL…
