How to update firmware on the Nikon Z6 and Z7

Nikon periodically updates camera firmware to add new functionality and fix existing bugs on the D850. This video shows you how to download the new firmware from Nikon’s website and upload it to your camera. The process is simple, but there are a few key elements that you have to get just right in order for it to work properly.

Thanks Mike. This was very helpful. After the update is complete, the camera says to turn it off. Other videos has then instructed the viewer to pull out the memory card, turn the camera back on and click on the Firmware option from the Setup menu and make sure the update occurred. After you put the card back in, do you go back into the Setup Menu under Firmware and click on Delete Update Files or do you just reformat the disk?

Computer challenged here. Never been to a class.... the only part of your video that I don’t understand is the drag and drop folders. I’m sorry, but I’m lost. Not your fault. 😞
