How do you record WhatsApp audio calls clearly on both ends?
I think these tips are for IOS, ...TRUE? BC some do not work for android, or maybe I may not have latest version !!!

To add bold to text wrap a * around the text e.g. *word* or *multiple words here*. Also similar with italics, just add _ before and after text e.g. _italics_ or _add italics to this text here_. These features work good for a single or multiple sentences provided they are contained with a paragraph. If you create a new paragraph you need to apply the features again.

There is another one for strike through text in whatsapp by putting a ~ in the beginning and at the end of the text eg. ~Kevin~

Or you could hold on a word and drag the blue thing around the whole message like on a computer, it'll give you different options like copy, paste, undo etc then you get the 3 dots, if u tap on the 3 dots it'll give a option to change the font
If you want to see the conversation of when an image was shared some time ago, go to media, press on the photo/video/link etc, and then press "show in chat" this will take you to the exact moment the image was shared and you can view the conversation.

Thanks so much for all the tips Kevin 😀. Love the 'share location' as really handy for my mother to turn on when we're out and about.
Some WA features I've found useful recently are
#1 putting restrictions on your WA to being added to Groups [Settings > Account > Privacy > Groups] so you can choose the contacts that add you into Groups
#2 using translator when messaging [on Android from icons below message field and ellipsis to right - option to translate can be added].

Other bonus tips. You can add fingerprint lock to whatsapp. You can share higher quality image with friends (go to storage and media, and then photo upload quality, then change to "best quality" and you can block specific people from viewing your status or choose specific people to few your status.

Good tips Kevin. Just to add to the list, one can assign different notification lights for normal chat and group chat. This can be a good way to identify messages received without switching on the mobile. This is available on Android. Not sure if this is available on iOS.
You can also individualise the sounds and lights (by colour & flash pattern) for different people, or have no notification for others.
Nice one Kevin. I am glad to see that someone also mentioned in their comment about bold and italics. There is also one for strikethrough.

@@arkay56 Use a tilde ~ before and after the text you wish to strikethrough.
Alternatively, you can also highlight / select the text and you'll see options to bold, italicize, or strikethrough 👍

- Notification on/off
- Send some messages to archive folder to make it silence or hide your whatsup message list
- Store all message list in cloud like İCloud and call them again when you need them
- QR code feature to show your whatsup ID in order to be added your friend list easly

Thanks for the great tips! I was wondering... My biggest problem with WA is that it quickly becomes overflooded with messages, most of which from groups I've muted (but still wish to remain a member of). As a result, when a new message comes in from a contact who I haven't muted, I find myself endlessly scrolling to find the relevant chat (or having to try and remember which contact it was and then use the search function to look him out). It there any tip or trick to tackle this? Thanks! :)

Never realized you can pause the voice messages, thanks! The desktop app is not independant from the phone though, and when i had it it was draining my phone battery while I was using it on my computer
That was the old desktop app.
The new one is independent and works even with your phone off.

I like using whatsapp web better than the desktop app. I find I get the notifications (with sounds) more regularly & it stays on (if you don't close the browser tab, you don't have to have the tab active so you can do other things online). With the app it reopens each time you click on it. It would be great if WA web could do calls. I find the search feature really useful because is searches within messages too

Great video but I can't find the settings bar at the bottom of my phone (android) screen and some of them are not in my general WhatsApp settings?
Hi Joanne I was having a similar issue but I clicked the paperclip icon and a menu with the location button popped up and you can turn on the location form there. Whatsapp will ask you to allow location settings etc and you will be fine from there. Hope this helps! Keep safe and well.
