    I love that it has an elevator. If you have elderly or disabled people inside, they won’t have to be isolated to the bottom floor. If you’re tired or nursing an injury, you can still navigate your home.

    Hey Ryan! How soundproof are these expensive luxury apartments? I've always lived in a single-family house but hope to one day be able to live in an apartment like this one so I have some questions. Can I listen to music on a speaker (not with big night-club speakers on max volume of course) while I shower without bothering my neighbors? Or dance with my partner after a date in my apartment without my downstairs neighbors hearing our footsteps? And exercise (jumping jacks, treadmill, etc)? Thanks!

    • @JohnLee-ot5ed
      @JohnLee-ot5ed Před 2 lety +3

      I lived in a condominium built in 2008. It has very good sound insulation, but the bass still gets through. I can hardly hear music played by my neighbor at normal volume, but it's the bass that really bother me. I think bass can transmit far, and at the low frequency it is hard to insulate. At the old apartment complex I rent, I could hear everything, people having sex all the time lol. I don't hear that at my new place. So it depends on the quality of construction, the material they use for sound insulation.

      I’ve stayed in a building like this as an Airbnb for two weeks. I wasn’t on the top floor, so I had an upstairs neighbor. Didn’t hear a thing. The more expensive the unit is, the more soundproofed it’s gonna be.

    Hi Ryan
    I have watched your tours of NY apartments for a while and enjoy all of them. I also was captivated by your appearance on Million Dollar Listing New York but I have to say that your tours of L.A. homes are unfortunately not very good. You should stay away from anything Enes has done before you as he does it 10 times better than yourself or Architectural Digest that have recently also followed in his footsteps and failed miserably . I think the reason he is better at this format is that he's not invested in selling the properties, He's just showing the individual homes for what they are. Mostly incredibly designed homes with wonderful constructural details that he seems to notice more than others who do these tour videos.
    Stay in New York as you do it best there !
