    Thank you so much for this video! I just bought one and couldn't quite figure out how to put it together! Most of the other videos I ran across showed how to blow the leaves or suck them up (which was useless). The product instructions were no help in showing how to connect the required pieces, but your video very clearly displayed that. Like you, I bought it mainly for the vacuum feature. About to use it now....thanks again for taking the time to demonstrate how to put the pieces together, it is much appreciated!!

    I’ve had a Toro Blower Vac for about 20 years and it just quit on me. Right exactly at the end of my job. It just slowly ran out of juice. And that was it. Couldn’t get it to turn back on. I cannot believe how long it has lasted. I use it every time I mow all summer long. Only here to see if this one has that little extra new attachment. Tractor supply has it for $99.
    If you have a CITI Credit card they extend the warranty two years longer, than manufacturer
    YES, they do. I just got reimbursed this year for something that I used my credit card for and CITI sent me a check.✅

    Just picked one up at HD, they price matched.
    For the cost / weekend warrior production ratio, it’s great!
    Thanks for taking time to review and give excellent narrative.
    I recommend it!

    I have one I have been using for12 years it still works as good as it did then .I bought an extra bag so I can keep working and save trips to the garden. It's very powerful compared to other blowers I have seen.

    I got a similar one for my grandpa a few years ago, toro 51609, and it's been a great blower. I haven't used it as a vacuum, only a blower, and I feel like it's very lightweight for how powerful it is. Ultimately I replaced it with a redmax backpack blower, as I found it was just better suited for the amount of leaves I was blowing.

    I've had this blower for two years and this year the switch stopped working. Toror does a few things that will keep me from ever buying another Toro product for the rest of my life. When the switch went out, the thing to do was to take it apart and install a new switch. How ever, on this particular model Toro has gone out of their way to keep you from repairing it. They want you to buy a new one every two or three years. They stuck a screw inside the body that is not accessible from the out side , so, after you've removed all the screws, you still have to break it open to get into it. Once into it you'll find that Toro will not sell you a replacement switch. It's just another way they have of making you buy a new one. This should be an easy fix but Toror has, evidently, has a built in obsolescence. Keep away from Toro products.

    I thought it was a good idea, but the base they provide to cover the motor doesn’t fit like any video I’ve seen so I’ll be returning mine

    I can’t seem to release the blower attachment to put on the vacuum attachment instead. I push on the rough push “lever” and try to pry the attachment but can’t seem to budge it. I guess my 68 yr old female fingers don’t have the strength they did a couple years ago. Any suggestions?

    The variable speed knob allows the blower feature to make a nice leaf pile , the machine will not function without the guard or at least the one I have doesn't

    What type of power cord did you use? I just tried the 3 prong orange cord and a 2 prong extension cord and got shocked both times. 😳

      Go to 2:57 this does have a metal impeller and chews through small dry debris like a hot knife through butter (and even some moist debris too)

      Doing that could change the balance of the impeller.

    • @RAVHornE
      @RAVHornE Před rokem

      Sharpening the impeller won't do much however, if one was to drill holes into blades to allow adding plastic grass trimmer line for extra mulching, just be sure the lines are short and even to balance impeller and the holes are tight to secure lines.
