- This is the first time that a guest photographer joins me on a street photography POV around Baguio. Guess what? We both shoot Fujifilm!
My buddy Nico G. (@peopleplacesasia) joins me on today's street photography photowalk around Baguio City!
This was vlog's first time to have a guest photographer on board. It was also Nico's first time to do street photography in Baguio. Nico was born in Virginia, USA and moved to the Philippines when he was 16 years old because he found his calling as a Baptist minister to these islands. Almost a decade later, he is happy to call the PH his home and has since settled here and started a family in Baguio City.
He had plans for a grand photo tour of Asia this year (hence the IG handle @peopleplacesasia) but the pandemic put his plans on hold. He spends his free time doing food and editorial photography aside from teaching theology at his local school. (If you're from Baguio, check out his IG!)
It's funny how photographers just get along. We met for the first time for coffee a week before this was shot and hit it off right away. Scheduled this photo walk you see before you right then and there. Photo geeks really do have a lot in common. This was the first time we shot together and I think it will be far from the last.

i guess the Filipino culture is not so opposed to street photography, thought it was interesting how you asked the Ate in the beginning for a portrait haha, i suppose ppl are used to the occasional tourists with cameras in Baguio since the Igorot Art Renaissance and Summer Capital tourist trend
Generally their used to cameras but ive been rejected quite a number of times too lol
i'm not really use to doing street photography with very identifiable ppl in it, have you ever gotten confronted because of your camera in Baguio specifically?
Hey, yeah a couple of times! Had a securitu guard ask me what i was doing and he wanted to take my picture as well lol but generally, i think its fine
