My God, mid-late 2000s nfl was incredible
hahahajackmyswag yep that’s the era that made the nfl as big as it is today. Right as baseball ratings were starting to fall of a cliff
Nothing like the Golden Era (1982 - 1996), though. Those 15 seasons were MAGICAL! Nothing else will ever compare to it.
Ten years from now some will say that about the 2010s. Most people lift up the past when compared to the present, whether it's reasonable or not.
@@LukeR.5117 i agree, it's called nostalgia, i grew up watching the Joe Montana San Francisco real, and i miss those times, but the nfl it's still great
That’s true but the mid to late 2000s where special because of all the random teams jets, browns, dolphins, all had randomly good seasons
I swear that kickoff return late 4th quarter from Peterson to put his team in fg range, is probably the fastest I've ever seen a guy run in pads. He literally made everyone look like they were in slow motion. Absolutely insane. Even the announcer gasped at the pure speed. Peterson was legit Olympic speed.
Yes indeed. The burst on that return was the most terrifying thing I've ever seen happen on a football field. I was lucky enough to watch AD for three years at Oklahoma and saw a lot of great stuff in those three years, but this was a whole different level.
Adrian Peterson in his prime was so unbelievable that the Vikings could win some games with Tarvaris Jackson and Christian Ponder at QB.
I’m a Vikings fan and I remember how awful those two were but if AD got at least 100 they were set
He's one of the only RB's I've ever seen that could essentially carry the offense by himself. Walter Payton and maybe Barry Sanders were the others.
Makes you realize how many more incredible runs AP had that aren't in his popular highlight reels.
I know the qbs werent elite but i love this era and its a great classic game and im a packers fan lol
I think this is his greatest game when including those two great kick returns.
@@markfox3083 in 2012 the game against the legion of boom is probably my favorite of his career. That or the packers game where he was 9 yards short.
Peterson was crazy omg.
Devin Hester was an absolute MONSTER!
Yep, too bad he played for a team that always had inconsistency at qb keeping them from being SB contenders every year
Aaron Scott sane with the Vikings
@@adrianrealmvp303 Yeah, for Adrian Peterson
Aaron Scott not just for AP
@@phillyeaglesforlife5127 yuup Hester & Peterson had sum sorry ass QB"s
Hester and Peterson showed the world 🌎 they were special players both should be in the HOF their field vision and patience was on another level
They will be in the hall of fame.
Adrian Peterson was a freaking animal. LOL. As a Bears fan I watched that guy just absolutely dominate some amazing defenses so many times. So damn good.
Oh hell yeah been looking forever for this game. The game that let everyone know Adrian Peterson was a special running back.
Bears Vikings game will be very similar to the Vikings vs Packers game week 17 2012
aaand we choked
@@cllcccic8270 What are you talking about? Nobody choked. You must not know what the term means. As for AP, all that talent and the Vikings are still trash bags.
I knew AP was special when he put up 296 vs the chargers. I'm a colts fan, and I remember watching AP gash SD while waiting for the Patriots-Colts game.
We knew that at OU
REST IN PEACE T-JACK!
Man AP killed fantasy that week
Rest in peace Cedric Benson ! 😥🐻🐻
And Tavares Jackson
And the Chicago Bears as a franchise
Watching this man Adrian Peterson play in the NFL.. it’s hard to explain how he somehow made it look easier then college. Just mesmerizing!
And remember this was his rookie year and he was looking like a veteran in this game
Rip cedric benson 🙏🏾 Rip Tavares Jackson 🙏🏾
Forgot how much Archuletta stunk it up for the Bears. A long drop off in talent from Mike Brown.
I was kinda excited when we signed him... and um.. yeah.. 😐😐
Archuleta turned out to be Craig Steltz before Craig Steltz mixed with chris conte before chris conte... aside from the Hester vs AD dynamic this video is basically a how to lose a game montage for Adam Archuleta and Brian Griese.
1:17 Hester the juke god with the punt return!
9:24 Hester the speed god with the clutch game-tying TD!
Peterson with 225 yards on the ground and 130 returning including the big run to setup the game winning TD. GOD.
@@misst9And 3 TD's. Lol
1:17 One of the greatest punt returns ever
🐻⬇️ EVER 😂😂😂
No Dwayne Harris just had that 99 yard return. That’s the greatest
@@originaloso8599 ever watch Dante Hall return punts? His are better than what Harris did
I was at this game, it was epic
It’s not a great return so much as it is piss poor tackling
Even though we lost this was one of my favorite Bear vs Vikings game it had a little of everything an on the edge of your seat thriller till the end and I'll never forget how happy and lucky the Vikings fans were those bastards
respect. what a game, miss these fools
War damn eagle
*bruh, that one announcer has worked so many damn Bears games I swear! He still doing them til this day!! Lmao!! That voice is iconic!* 😂💯
Lol
+Wolf you mean dick stockton
It’s Dick Stockton and he has been doing NFL, MLB, and NBA games on basically every network forever. He called Carlton Fisk’s famous World Series home run in 1975, called every Magic-Bird NBA Finals, called many of Michael Jordan’s, Derek Jeter’s and Tom Brady’s games, and he is still at it doing NFL games every week, while also occasionally doing NBA games or an MLB playoff series.
@@TheLocalLt He generally does NFC games, so I don't believe he has called many of Brady's games.
Luke R. You missed the point of my comment. And that’s true but for the first half of Brady’s career, Stockton would almost always call at least one Pats game per year with Troy Aikman, filling in for Joe Buck during the baseball playoffs. Fox would usually schedule the Pats during October as a lead in to baseball coverage, which often featured the Red Sox. Stockton also did the NFL international broadcasts of each of Brady’s first 4 super bowl appearances
Hester is one of my all time favorites players!!! #HOF
Mines too
He was so under rated. HES A LEGEND.
Mines too
Hester was the reason I became a Bears fan! 🐻
My favorite player of all time
Tyreek Hill is better
The Fitness Life Hill is much better as a receiver but not as return man. He still has many kick returns to go until he reaches Hester's level
Urlacher was the reason I became a Bears fan
Payton was the reason i became a bears fan. Cuz I’m old. Also loved Wilbur Marshall’s game. Buddy Ryan was the real coach of the Bears,
I remember people totally expecting a low scoring game here. and for good reasons.
But 34-31? then the next year it's 48-41? definitely wasn't expecting that.
Qb battle lmao
"Momma there goes that man"
War eagle
Finally!! Showing the Vikings some love
This is like the third bears Vikings throwback game I’ve watched. There’s been some bangers between them.
This is the kind of stuff it takes for the Vikings to be able to win at Soldier Field.
Unfortunately they don't have a prime AP anymore to run for 200 and 3 TDs 🤣🤣🤣
AP was not in his prime here either rookie year or sophomore year beast regardless
Peterson really was the Bears kryptonite in those days we always had a great defense and Peterson would make us look like the Browns from last year shit was so frustrating
Cry about it
now we cry when we get to soldier field
He had 2 games his over 200 yards and set a record for most rushing yard in a game in his Rookie season, AP a different breed tho 💪🏾🔥💯
Fuckin Rookie Season... AP showed he would be the Best of his time
I would take him over any back this century
crazy watching this and realizing both travaris jackson and cedric benson both died in car accidents...sad
Crazy I didn't even know about Benson until this comment. Not sure how I missed that. Very say though
Sad*
Crazy how much football has changed since this game was played....
I just watched the best returner of all time go up against arguably the best running back of all time. What a treat!
Damn, Vikings really can never just win a game. Have to make it spicy and give me heart problems
This game reminded me how awesome the Vikings and Bears games were when I 6-10 years old good times
I’m really sick of people trying to discredit Hester’s ability as a receiver I see it come up a lot in Hall of Fame debates if you actually watched him he was a very capable speed guy who could make plays he was never a #1 receiver but could beat you deep and catch the ball in space and make plays he did whatever the Bears asked him to do
As far as his receiving impacts his HOF case...I mean, look he was fine. 3,311 yards and 16 TDs, with another 116 rushing. But offensively, it wasn't like he was say, Eric Metcalf, who, while not the all-time returner Hester was, was an elite return man, who had had about 5,500 receiving yards and 2,400 rushing yards with 43 TDs.
He has more returns than any player in NFL history.
I could careless of his ability as a receiver.
Joe Bee agreed he’s first ballot, idc what anyone says about his receiving, dude was a RETURNER, last time I checked that was a position in football
@@dirtybirdambrose good point
Awesome game..thanks for all the juicy nugs of nostalgia
Two soon-to-be first-ballot Hall of Famers in Peterson and Hester going 1 on 1 guaranteed classic game
Not sure if Hester will be first ballot
MY MAN ANTHONY ADAMS!
I think Devin Hester is the greatest return man of all time.
Matheus Silva To say your wrong would be foolish. Deion was great, but Hester is legendary
Hester is amazing I had the opportunity to sit and talk to him and his wife I will forever be grateful to have spent time with them.
Matheus Silva Percy Harvin and Cordarrelle Patterson are great as well
Hester is the GOAT
He is.
Oh yeah Greg Olsen was a Bear.
Yes he was:(
He was a bear, then left for Carolina and hit his prime with Cam Newton.
We didn't wanna pay him what he was worth
Yeah he is gone from the Bears because of Mike Fartz.
You mean Panthers Legend Greg Olsen was a bear.
My god Peterson was a monster. Not only did he run 200 yards he almost took two kick offs to the house.
6:20 Sidney Rice sighting
Was great when healthy
Greatest return specialist of all time
Adrian Peterson ALL DAY! Great game to choose, lots of variety with big plays, good defense, and fantastic plays overall.
This was my first ever bears game, even though they lost it was at the time the best bears game I been too. It was replaced by the 2009 Monday night matchup which the bears won in OT
This game had so many great players alone
-Brian Urlacher
-Lance Briggs
-Devin Hester
-Charles Tillman
-Olin Kreutz
-Adrian Peterson
-Steve Hutchinson
-Kevin Williams
-Darren Sharper
9:50 such an underrated throw it was perfect
Best throw by Griese
what a game
this game is one of the reasons why 2007 is my favorite NFL season
I was watching this game at my apartment at the time. Bears really suffered a Super Bowl hangover in 2007.
I remember watching this game. Nd ISTG i just got pissed All over again lmaooooo
Troy williamson lmao a lesser darius heyward bey
Hester was savvy but Peterson returning that kick at the end was unparalleled explosion Jesus 🤦🏻♂️... guys one of kind in his prime
That was a great game. AP at his finest for sure
It would have been really interesting to see Had Hester played with the Patriots.Hester was never a great route runner, but his speed and juke moves would have made it very interesting to see him and Randy Moss lined up on opposite sides of the line of scrimmage, two speedsters for Brady to throw to, plus having Hester as your Kickoff/Punt returner. That would have been sick
The Bears vs Vikings game will be freaking fun to watch. I'm going to the game
depends if Bears are actually playing their starters after halftime lol, which will depend on the score of the Rams v 49ers game
@@DoctorNoah123 oh shit good point. If nagy sees a blowout game, then he will remove SOME starters like Trubisky and allen Robinson because hes banged up
01:18 - I will never be able to grasp how this run-back was possible. He was surrounded by and subsequently ran through six defenders - many within an arm's reach - while barely being touched. Incredible
Possibly the GOAT RB and returners in history going at it like Ali-Frazier. Nice clip.
AD used to self-grade his games with his father during his rookie season; this one ranked the highest, even higher than the 296 home game vs. San Diego. thx 4 the upload n the memories, despite it being in the thick of the Williamson/Childress era.
That first punt return for Hester was down right unbelievable. That man's reflexes are second to none and instincts for returns show that he was put on this earth for it. and AD....just a 6 '2 buff humanoid with speed, quickness, agility, power and raw athleticism
Adrian Peterson is the G.O.A.T
Did you hear that crowd WOW, boy he was amazing
One of the best games ever.
What a time to be a kid in Chicago 🔥 Hester Lit the city up back then 💯✨
I can't believe I missed this game. Adrian Peterson was a complete monster in this game and through out his rookie season.
ALL DAY BABY 🔥🐐🔥🐐🔥
Great game ,big time plays, HOF bound players
Rip Tjack man..... ❤️
I'm glad I'm subbed to this channel!
War eagle
Tarvaris Jackson completing a deep pass for a TD, and Troy Williamson catching a deep pass for a td is like seeing big foot ride a unicorn.
I miss this vikings that team had so much talent.
AP was insane
Hester’s a legend!
So is AP??
What a game 👍🏼
Judging by this video, AD could've been one of the great return men in history.
The game Where Adrian Peterson Ran For 296 😂 he Literally ran All over the defense R.i.P Travaris Jackson and Cendric benson #Beardown
Yea hard to believe Cedric & Travaris are gone
Nah, he ran for 296 against the Chargers
I thought i vaguely remembered this game, even though the 2007 season was wildly disappointing. But man, that kick return by Peterson in the 4th quarter, and the ensuing field goal, brought the emotional trauma ruahing back like it was yesterday
If Peterson had stayed healthy and not had all those partial and fully missed seasons, he would have rushed for over 20,000 yards. As amazing as his 2012 comeback MVP season was, his body, gait, speed, quickness, and fluidity were now a step below the effortless, God-given genius he exhibited in this game and 3 games later when he set the all-time NFL single-game rushing record (296 yards) against San Diego. I'm glad he got these chances to shine. No matter how many times you watch the great runs of backs like Peterson and Sanders, you always feel a sense of awe.
We've still never forgiven Angelo for trading away Greg Olsen.
Cause of mike martz taking over I think lol
I recall a Vikings bears game where Cordell Patterson ran a kickoff all the way back. While the Vikings get set to kick off, Hester is getting the crowd insanely riled up waving his arms wildly like "MY TURN"...I'm screaming at m t.v. NOT to kick it to him! ….well they did and he ran his all the way back too
This is the best running back I’ve ever seen
Man I miss watching Adrian Peterson in his prime. His little episode with his kid to where he is now is one of the weirdest sports stories I've ever seen
AllDay was a beast
Troy Williamson. There is a bust from the past. Love this stuff.
South Carolina legend who ran 4.2 and basically was why Vikings traded moss also lol remember
Basically was traded for moss
every time I watch 00s vikings highlights I’m reminded that Ben Leiber could ball!
Watched this game live!
Mad respect to Tillman on AP's 73 yard td (the second one), he gave him a good foot race but Peterson was just a little faster
Good game. Loved watching Hester....and glad the Bears had to put up with our frustrating QB toss offs (coming from a Broncos fan). And yes, shouldn't talk much given our own records between Elway and Manning..
Great game!
SKOL baby let's go!!! thank you for this excellent upload. What a great game this was😁
@@groot-kun756 What is that a troll up your ass? SKOL SKOL SKOL.
I got real questions when the fuck did this skol shit start and where did it come from I don’t remember hearing it before last year also it reminds me of SKOL vodka probably the most disgusting alcohol in existence
@@jhupp8707 A few years ago. It is an old Norse drinking shout.
PURPLE PEOPLE EATERS good to know I’m a Bears fan and never remembered it being a thing till recently while I dislike the Vikings we can always find common ground in hating the Packers, looking forward to the game this weekend
@@jhupp8707 Idk I'm not gonna lie I have always had more vendetta with the bears lol. But yeah I hope for a good game too.
Adrian Peterson: 361 AP Yards and 3 Touchdowns
Devin Hester: 272 AP Yards and 2 Touchdowns
Those 2 had a Touchdown for every 100 yards they gained.
R.I.P. Tarvaris Jackson
Griese just never panned out. Just a little slow upstairs.
Former Michigan national championship team QB on 97 one with charles woodson winning heisman
you make me happy
Hester is the GOAT at returns
He is. Mf was a cheat code. Everybody loves usin dat nigga & Michael Vick on they Madden Ultimate teams😂
Hell of a game... BEAR DOWN 2020.
All these people talking about Hester when AD was the craziest player of the century.
AP is a fucking Beast
i miss these days. Urlacher and the crew.
Everyone is talking up Hester (who was great) but did you watch the game or this video? Peterson was clearly the best player on the field!!
Seeing Troy Williamson catch a touch down is like seeing the Easter Bunny.
Crazy thing is this is his ROOKIE year..... the same year he ran for an NFL-record 297 yards in a game
THIS WAS INTERESTING..................
