No matter how good is the software is,it still depends on the user's skill.
I havent tried Procreate but I sure love KRITA. :)
i do too!! the current version available on android is such a sweet dream come true for me...
In my mind Procreate is a sketch app and Krita is a rendering app but yup I'm wrong😆
@@lasseel3724 honestly procreate is pretty good if you don't want to be stuck in one place or lugging around a laptop and drawing slate (bare minimum), plus it's basically just a simpler version of Krita that can work just as well if you add a paperlike screen protector (or equivalent) to your iPad then it honestly isn't much different to a full drawing tablet without carrying a laptop
EDIT: I didn't know you could get Krita on mobile platforms, but still, on a tablet I'd still go for procreate unless you are on an android device
I used to use procreate when I had an iPad, now im using krita on a Samsung tablet, and I rlly like it so far
i really want krita with procreate brushes
A small but important correction: Krita isn't, and is not planned to be made available on IOS. So no Krita for iPads and such, which is unfortunate since it is mine pick from these two.
Follow up: altho you can import photoshop brushes, it has different brush processing engine (not sure if that is how its called) so the brushes from other programs won't work properly.
It’s on android tho
@@iluvkoi yes, I was talking about IOS
Hey I was wondering if I should get a Mac or windows laptop? I'm into digital art and cannot decide on OS. I have a wacom screen less drawing tab which I palm on using (RIP expensive iPad)
@@aayansh3919 I dont think it should have an impact tbh. I heard that mac does have drivers issues from time to time and there may be some limited compatibility w some software (neither should be too much issues with newer models of tablets and versions of software). Windows doesnt have neither of these issues, but it hogs ram a bit more and tends to deteriorate in an odd way over time. BUT you can slap stronger graphics card and upgrade ram easier (as long as I know) which is both benefitial for better drwing experience. Better parts will ofc run you more cash. But than again... apple projects isnt exactly cheap either.
I would advice you to check and ask on some subredits. Youll get better and more experienced people responding there
Really enjoyed this Video. Thanks for posting.
Y'know, Krita ain't so bad!
no
Hmm
yes, It actually good
@@Kaktus6492_VR no what? Its way great. Shut up
Krita is good. Also FREE!!!
the layer management system in krita is just a hider mess but it is easy to use once u figure it out. everything is just spread across the ui with a million little test bubbles. despite that i am in love with the brush engine it supposedly better than photoshop
Oh krita 5 definetively delivers on the "better brush engine"
@@regularname1825 there's a 5 I just downloaded the driver yesterday and it didn't say 5 was available
@@artwithashton9120 its a beta
You have to find the experimental on their sites
Also drivers and krita are different things
They should handle layers in a more similar manner as CSP does. Having to create a group just to clip a layer is a pain.
Krita is better cuz u can use it even if you're too poor to afford an ipad lol
I find it weird how clip studio made ios and android ports while procreate is deadset on staying ios exclusive
@@Val17282 there are rumours of procreate team working on desktop version, but it is what it is, a rumour
Bingo
Both are the best
to my knowledge Krita is not yet available for ios, despite my deepest wishes. It is only available for windows, linux, android and OSX for mac.
Yep and considering the android version is already pretty stable so id expect krita on ios to be more stable
@@lol-ivan7500 Apple Store rules are not compatible woth Krita free/libre/open source license. And I guess it would be difficult to distribute Krita outside of Apple Store.
@@tymondabrowski12 well thats bad, i liked krita on my laptop and my laptop broke, so i have to use my ipad with procreate now i guess oof
True. It makes sense maybe they don’t want the completion from procreate.
@@lol-ivan7500 same I used Krita on my computer with the Huion 16 2021. My sister has a iPad Pro 2020 11” and Apple Pencil with procreate. I like krita better but procreate is fun to use. I might get the next generation Samsung galaxy tab s8 plus when it comes out to have Krita on the go or when I go to a friend or gf’s house.
Thanks!
Krita is really good, too bad it isn't available for iPad.
I love painting with Krita.
Great video. I Still learning to use krita.
Sekarang udah mantap?
How did you turn Advance color selector(in krita) to square?
Useful comments
Trying to decide between an iPad Pro or Samsung Tab S7+ tablet right now, and Procreate vs Krita is what is making it hard to decide (I want to use both!)
PROCREATE ❤️
Get iPad Pro. Get $50 drawing tablet for computer and use Krita on computer.
I used both. Personally if you are going to be in one place and not mobile the desktop apps do better (they need keyboard shortcuts to use efficiently and on smaller screens are too crowded and overwhelming) procreate does it right for mobile. With keyboard shortcuts being replaced by tapping in certain ways and a very natural intuitive UI, like procreate is sooooo natural
Same
@Nancie Figueroa yh I got rid of my s6lite it couldn't even run artflow for a long time so I upgraded to a surface pro 3 best decision I made
uh... why was the logo for MAC Cosmetics used for the Apple MacBook?
i am an android tablet/ windows laptop user so krita it is. i prefer it to procreate. has more customizing and features. feels more fully featured and i have used both
Hey I was wondering if I should get a Mac or windows laptop? I'm into digital art and cannot decide on OS. I have a wacom screen less drawing tab which I plan on using for drawing.
Also is apples sidecar feature good enough?
It all depends on the apps and software that you're planning to use. Most of them support the frequent OSs but we recommend you do the research beforehand. We always try to mention the compatible platforms in our reviews to make it easier on you.
This channel always has interesting videos bty I am first
Thank you so much 😀
@@InspirationTuts2D can't believe you replied by the way can you make a video on ross tran and the software he uses
Did she use a macmakeup logo in place of the mac apple logo lmao...best copyright strik defense ever....i wish procreate was on andriod it look more touch friendly then anything ive seen beside infinite painter which has no animation tab
I didn’t know Microsoft surface can’t use procreate and I wanna cry
Procreate has always been an iPad exclusive, and it also makes up a big part of the value of iPads for artists
the thing is you have arguably better drawing apps on windows.
and between Krita and Photoshop, which one would you recommend?
Photoshop, if you can afford it, of course
Krita, really good for animating and drawing, and it's free
For illustration I’d recommend Krita, it has better brushes with more control and customization and really useful tools like the colorize tool and reference tools + if you know how to program in python you can make more tools since it’s open source, and even if you don’t know how to program there’s a small and nice community and several tutorials on how to make your own plug ins. For photo editing photoshop is pretty good, not so intuitive but since is a really popular software there’s plenty of tutorials, and also it’s useful if you have a job because it supports many image formats and it’s connected to the Adobe cloud programs so people can work on several stuff at the same time in different programs, but if you’re doing it for hobby I would recommend Gimp or Photopea for photo editing since both are free and have the same tools you might need from photoshop
@@ENJERUNE Thanks!
Krita for sure
Krita hands down
None come closer to Paint tool sai ;).....Regarding pen feeling and painting smoothness. I like krita though....getting better and better
*Me who draws with a mouse* Well I think who clearly wins
High-Five Fellow Mouse Drawer
Procreate has a very intrusive destructive autosave
I love Krita but I want to draw using a stylus and it’s not for iPad
It’s on android as well, I use a Samsung s7tab and it’s good, and if you get the keyboard, you can use it like a computer :))
I want to use procreate
@Slushyiie Machyiine I regretted it after trying out Krita
@@peacewalker3344 for mobile version she isn’t missing so much but Krita for the desktop version is way better then procreate.
@@thephilosopher5799 krita android (atleast now) is the desktop version. same thing.
Krita is so much better
Can’t use Procreate for vector and raster together easy win for Krita!
Ibis PaintX vs Krita?
Definitely krita, as an animator i will blindly choose krita
@@BeingBenaam Can I use Krita on Android phone? Is it easy to use for beginners?
@@seekfactsnotfiction9056 for begginer I recommend using Ibispaint and if you already ready for krita you can try it
@@seekfactsnotfiction9056 It's only available on Android tablets 😂
@@sillycatloverlol24 which one?
I tried both and firealpaca is the best
No it's not 😂😂
@@sillycatloverlol24 opinion stop :(
I use both lol
Krita better
Do microsoft paint 3d lol
why this krita is so damn hard for me ? i cant lear anything :(
the winner is affinity
Looool
krita seems so complicated
yeah its heck of a lot complicated
It's an advanced program with plenty of options and tools, but thete are tutorials that start from explaining the interface, if someone gets lost.
@@tymondabrowski12 decided to use clip studio paint lol
@@MrCrapStone never tried it unfortunately, but isn't it complicated too?
@@tymondabrowski12 getting the hang of it takes time but i think doing fine for now
Kind of pointless video, these 2 are not competitors as they don't live on the same platforms, Procreate is an iOS exclusive (not even present on macOS) and Krita lives pretty much everywhere else.
I wouldn't say it is pointless. Especially iff one is about to enter the digital art world without having a device yet. The software available is definately a factor while choosing the right device.
Well, i want to buy either ipad or samsung tab so this is important :)
NOT POINTLESS!!! See, I wanna combine my wicked art skills with photoshop. But I dont have an iPad and I do have a surface. If I can the basic same results without having to buy a new device... STONKS
its not pointless you're just slow for thinking that
some people base their Hardware choice on the program they will use
