- The ultimate test of RST Motorcycle gear. Three brothers head to Normandy to see the second world war sited and discover a hidden gem on the way back.
We kitted three brothers out in three different @rstmotodirect textile kits for their eight day tour of Normandy. Setting off from Manchester, heading south the the channel tunnel and over to Normandy. Little did they know what lay in wake for them on the way back. The trip was plagued by mixed weather conditions which only a serving of banter and the RST kit could get them through.
The kit tested in this video is as follows -
Jay - RST Ranger Jacket
Phil - RST Maverick Evo Jacket and Trousers
Adam - RST Pro Series Raid Jacket and Trousers

Great video, over-jacket every time for me. I have the RST and Oxford ones and they work brilliantly.
Hi Petmaxnat. A waterproof over is definitely an easy and cost effective way of staying dry. With the adventure kit, you’re paying for built in waterproofing that can breathe and vent. Obviously, more often than not, the more you pay the more effective they are at doing that. Thank you for watching our video and thanks for leaving me a comment 👍
I use a RST Adventure jacket due to its great venting, the over jacket is great for me as I can also use it as a waterproof off the bike which you can’t with the liner really.
Thanx for this ladz i been wondering between these actually and cant find much else online about them which i find strange. Anyways im looking for adventure style on road focused on warmer weather personally and leaning towards the Ranger.
Hi Frilledneckdragon. The Ranger is a great kit and it is definitely a different approach to how it keeps you dry on wet days and cool on a warm day. Although it is a slightly heavier kit, the Ambush definitely won during this test and it retails for less than the Ranger. I think, had the trip been to a warmer climate, the Range would have possibly been the better option though because of its large vent panels in the chest which have no waterproof membrane blocking the flow of air. I'm glad you liked the video and hopefully it has helped. Thank you for watching and thanks for leaving me a comment. 👍
