    I bought this and the jeans for my adventure bike, I do a lot of miles, I don't own a car anymore and have been very very happy with this combo. It's not let me down yet

      How does the jacket fair out in wet weather? The jacket obviously gets drenched and the inner liner is the barrier?

    Nice combo, I'm close to buy this one. I see a lot of comments regarding the waterproof in the hot summer, this is what I use for heavy rain weather, I always have with me a rain suit that I'm putting over jacket/pants, it's a cheap combo from Decathlon for hiking or something, does the job perfectly. Even if I have a waterproof suit, on a touring day, I don't like to get all my gear wet and heavy.

    It’s summer hear in uk. Just gone from West Yorkshire to Scotland n the rain. After just 15 minutes my jacket and pants were wet through. If you don’t put the inner lining in you don’t have water resistance but in the summer it would be too warm. Wish I would have checked this before purchased . What a wet day riding socked to the bone.

    Interesting, it wasn't clear from other online listings that the waterproof lining is removable. My question is - can the waterproof/thermal liner be worn over the top of the outer jacket? The Revit Sand 4 does this and it's ideal - much quicker to adapt to incoming rain if you can put the liner over the top! Thanks.

    • @thevisorshopcrossanmotorcy9996
      @thevisorshopcrossanmotorcy9996  Před 2 lety +3

      Hi the Outer Jacket has a DWR treatment that will protect you in a shower but yes once the removable liner is removed its ability to keep water out is reduced.

  • @othoapproto9603

    I really like my RST AdventureX jacket, Well made with many features and I would buy it again. However, there are some issues. I bought it thinking it had the airbag system, but it didn't. It's label "Air Tech System" but no Airbag. So be careful to buy the one with the airbag installed. RST will not sell you the airbag separately. Sadly, the Airbag system is a subscription a very confusing, expensive subscription. So I will get something else for the airbag. On to MY other issues with the jacket. See the straps on the arms, it makes it very difficult to use the zipper. You either have to work the zipper under the straps or unsnap the straps. Talking about the snaps, there are beautifully made, top quality. However, very hard to close, NO really! Considering cutting off the straps and connecting them to the other side of the zipper flap. Then the straps would not block the zipper. Next is the front pockets, there are no side opening, you have no ware to put your hands. I've slit the pocket on the side toI can slide my hands in their like 99% of all other jackets ever made. Last is the Collar, the tongue rubs on your neck and gets caught on the helmet strap. The hole collar needs a redesign. Last is RST as a company, they are very unpleasant people, forget about getting any service. I still stand behind my earlier statement, "I would buy it again".

    I bought one of these jackets and ‘jeans’ - no thermal liner, just the ‘sheet’ like sinaqua liner - nothing thermal about it. Is this a recent change for Australia or should I be asking the store for the thermal part too? (Assuming the thermal and waterproof lining can be separated)

    • @thevisorshopcrossanmotorcy9996

      are you sure its the Adventure X ? there is an Adventure X treme which doesn't come with the thermal lining ? the Adventure X does so if its the same jacket it should have one and it maybe worth contacting the retailer to inquire

    The million dollar question,,,, how waterproof is the jacket without the inner?

    • @thevisorshopcrossanmotorcy9996
      @thevisorshopcrossanmotorcy9996  Před 5 měsíci

      Hi the jacket will still have a DWR coating ( which can be refreshed with spray on treatment)
      Durable Water Repellency (DWR)- A Waterproofing Treatment Sprayed Onto The Face Fabric
      DWR is Durable Water Repellency, another way of coating the fabric after a laminate or membrane has been applied to form a protective wall from water droplets on the outer layer.
      A chemical treatment, DWR is not waterproof, but does reduce condensation forming, aiding breathability so less moisture reaches your skin.

    less than 2 mins on the Jeans. Nothing about the liner, is it removable, how easy is it to put in? Do the ankles have a zip to open up or velcro or do they not open?

    • @thevisorshopcrossanmotorcy9996
      @thevisorshopcrossanmotorcy9996  Před 8 měsíci

      The Liner is removeable and is a sinaqua waterproof and thermal all in one which is fastened at the waist by a zip and each leg at the bottom by a zip and are very quick and easy to remove. There is a Zipped gusset at the ankles with a velcro flap to cover the zip. The liner for the jacket is the same and is secured with a zip around the inner of the jacket and at the bottom of the cuff. for more information email clothing@crossan.co.uk
