John Rodriguez I lost my brother to a overdose I don't ever cry especially when people die but when my homie passed I cried like a bitch honestly speaking Macs death fucked me up too i cried...I grew up on his music and just seeing how he grew and all the things he was facing you could tell in his lyrics something was up something is still up and doesn't make sense to me

The only artist who changed my life, the only artist whose every tracks brought a lot of different energy or vibes or feelings, whether happy or depression or agressiveness and many more. After his death, I stopped listening to every other artists and started listening to all of his tracks only and also did his haircut like his. Thanks for being your fan for 5 years. He wasn’t joking when he said he wants everyone to perceive this album in their own way. From the second I heard it to now it’s almost like mandatory for me to have this album a part of me with my own level of satisfaction and happiness and just peace of mind. There’s still songs that didnt hit me till now with such serious levels of tranquility years since the album dropped and I’ve listened to it the second it released. This album is timeless seriously thank you mac you are alive inside every single one of your fans you are not going to be forgotten.

Wish I could have heard Mac go into his creative thoughts on the Swimming Album in an interview. I knew his top hits more so from from the radio and friends playlists, but wasn’t a faces or kids ‘kid’ back in the day. Still must say, Swimming was my first ever start to finish album I had explored, and it was the first CD I’ve bought since some knock off Backstreet Boys albums from a fast food joint back in the 90s. Great music and lyrics from start to finish. It pushed me to purchase a few other albums by others. Cheers!

Bro the thing with mac's music is that my favourite albums just shift from time to time i don't even know. For example when i haven't listened to macadelic or wmwtso im again like damn this shit is sick. But then I listen to faces or swimming and im like wait this might be the best.

nah i thought he def got more deeper and lyrical on this album. u can tell he went out of his comfort zone beatwise and production wise and it still turned out amazing..macadelic was great. i think mainly due to his lean addiction at the time but i think watching movies with the sound off is too underrated.
