Plus drugs were very very easy to get there and with him being away from his Family and Hometown I feel like it hurt him a lot
He had ALOT going on during the WMWTSO era: he let the critics from blue slide park get to him, he started to do drugs from all the pressure he had on him, a good friend of his passed away while he was making the album, him & his then girlfriend, Nomi, was going through a shitload of relationship problems and she ended up leaving, & he pretty much contemplating his place in the rap game, & life in general. He had a lot going on man 💔, god rest his soul.
It’s wild to see such a light in his eyes at this point in his life. The light dims the more that he lets fame get to him - he just seems more beat in the “watching movies with the sound off” video for track-by-track. It’s like everything he was trying to give to us (his fans) was sucking everything out of him He was too damn good for this world, that is so plain to see!
I was a bit disappointed in 2011 when the album dropped, but looking back this album is a classic idk it grew on me. I love the album now. Back in 2012 I prob would have agreed that Macadelic should have been the album and i still agree a bit as well. But Blue Slide Park wasn't what i thought it was going to be but its an amazing album when you re-play it today. Macadelic is one of my favourite projects ever tho. Life Changing music.

Like frick prick market, party on 5th. And for some reason didnt give the whole album a try. But once macadelic came out, i was diggin the whole mixtape. Maybe because his mixtapes were always free and accessible.. but now that i listen to certain songs like under the weather and of the soul, it connects with me so much.. i now consider blue slide the perfect debut album. Its crazy, I thought i was the only one that thought that
