Windows 10 receives regular updates, and we install them, but sometimes they can cause some problems, so tutorial shows, how to uninstall problematic Windows updates, and how to remove Windows updates with no uninstall option
Warning! Uninstalling required Windows update may cause problems for Windows system!
So, make sure that you create restore point and follow the tutorial step by step!
All steps in the video:
1.Create a system restore point in windows 10
Go to Windows search box and type create a restore point
Click on a System Protection tab, then select the drive, where you want to save the restore point and go to Configure. Turn on system protection. Save changes, by Apply, OK
Click on Create, to create a restore point, type description (name your system backup)
and click create
2.Uninstall Windows update using control panel or command prompt
Go to Windows search box and type control panel, go to Programs and Features, click on View installed updates link. Here you can find all the installed updates.
Ok, some of them have an uninstall option, but some of them don't
let's remove the Windows update with the uninstall option.
Right-click the Windows update, you want to remove and click uninstall
Then click yes to uninstall Windows update
After uninstall Windows update, you must restart your computer, to apply changes.
Uninstall Windows update using command prompt:
Run command prompt as administrator
With this command, you can list all installed updates:
wmic qfe list brief /format:table
With this command you can uninstall Windows update:
wusa.exe /uninstall /KB:PackageNumber /norestart
Command usually works with Windows updates, that have the uninstall option.
3.Uninstall Windows update with no uninstall option
download and install Notepad plus:
notepad-plus-plus.org/downloads/
Once you install Notepad, go to the following path:
C:\Windows\servicing\Packages
Type your non-removable Windows update package number in the file explorer search box:
PackageNumber.mum
Try to find update package without numbering, Right-click on update package and open it with notepad
Press Ctrl+F on your keyboard, to open notepad search box:
Search for permanent and replace permanent with removable, save changes
Notepad will ask you to reopen file in administrator mode, click yes and save changes again
Go back to control panel and refresh Windows update list
Click on non-removable Windows update and you will see uninstall option
Right-click on Windows update and click uninstall, to uninstall Windows update
If you want to completely delete the downloaded Windows update files
Go to the following path:
C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download
And delete all files in the Download folder, don’t worry, all necessary folders will be updated after the restart.
4.Undo system changes using restore point
If something goes wrong after uninstalling windows update, you can easily undo changes
Go to Windows search box and type create a restore point, select System Protection tab, click on System Restore
You can use recommended restore point or choose different one
If you can’t find your restore point in the list after restart, don’t worry, just use an earliest, or recommended one.

@rakesh roshan Hi, go to services and try to stop Windows updates
@rakesh roshan its maybe because that update must be installed on the system otherwise your system may not run normally, some Windows updates are required and must be installed on Windows or your Windows update is running background, you can try to disable Windows updates and in the startup, tab change it to disable then restart your system, and after boot just make sure it stays disable do all step as admin.
please make a system backup before you uninstall anything
There's an update that is "successfully installed" in history but whenever I open the installed updates list it's not there :/

What happened if you restart the pc?
I was really confused after windows update I checked places like this youtube video only to confuse me more. Well I finally found how to undo the update and get my lost files back . Go to settings and type in control panel. go to Recover and the to recover earlier Recovery update. Click what it says it says the rest So easy. Was I ever Happy! All files restored just like before the update.

Thanks a lot for this, I manage to uninstall some of the updates, but there is only one which is causing me a trouble. When I click to uninstall it, it starts the process but after a few seconds prompts an error: "Not all the updates were successfully uninstalled!". Hi, try to uninstall Displey adapter (Video card driver) from Device Manager and then follow the video bellow to delete SoftDistribushion folder. It will delete all old saved updates from your PC.
Then restart your PC, and it must be OK.

im having a problem where I had an update on 10/02/2020 but when i go to uninstall it doesnt show on the list.

When u are referring to the path in c drive. Why did you start pressing the buttons so fast? And the yellow pointer is covering most of what the files are called. Your pressing so many files so fast and ur pressing so many i can't tell what ur pressing now.
All packages are numbered, I think they changed it so we can't tamper with it.

what you mean all numbers, that way is working for all updates 90 %, so u can try but don't forget to create restore point back up windows image before you try to uninstall something

if you follow the video and did restore point go ahead and restore your Windows.

Thanks man!.... too bad I have to scour the internet and watch youtube videos to learn how to get rid of MS crap and the useless crap they put on my notebook. they put some kind of thing by my search bar, it has like a volleyball goal and a volley ball in it. If I accidently run my mouse over it this window pops up. It is like that weather app they forced into your systray, I know how to get rid of that one. They have enough money to buy 2 gaming companies but, not enough money to provide call in tech support for THEIR product. I even went to the official MS site and even those techs there were referring people to sites outside of microsoft. Just that in itself is pathetic. They are a SHIT company!! Thanks for this video. I think what they do is someone windows programmer will come up with some stupid app... and think... oh every windows user out there will just love this. Then they just proceed to shove it up your ass, if it breaks your computer or deletes important files.... it's ok...we are microsoft we can do that. I have seen so many problems with windows 11 it scares me to think they might force it on my notebook. Anyways, good vid..thanks for reading my rant :) I hate microsoft..

Hi, are you using Notepad ++? if yes run it as admin and open the mum from file > open or uninstall Notepad ++ and install it as admin, so when you try to save something it auto restarts as admin as in the tutorial
