I love Janick, he's the pulsing heart of the band on the stage. Why would someone hate him? He's a free spirit, he's talented, but most importantly: he's alive

I agree People who hate or dislike him mainly say that his guitar playing is sloppy, he doesn't play the solos exactly like the studio version and he jumps around the stage like a clown. I've always enjoyed watching him and his guitar playing. He seems to be a nice guy too, always smiling and having fun on stage. Quite entertaining.
I agree I've always been a fan since x factor I love how lively he is on stage and the way he sometimes puts the guitar up straight in the air while playing, and not too mention he's a great song writer who contributed so much since he joined maiden. Those who's piss on him are not real maiden fans they jumped ship after Bruce left then came back when things got big again. And they don't even give x factor a chance which is a superb album.

I never thought Iron Maiden could be goofy. But this guy swinging his guitar around has proven me wrong. Just play it man.
Janick's antics are so embarrassing and yes it looks stupid and foolish that is why they give him one side of the stage to himself. How anyone can defend his "stage presence" is beyond me. He ruins the whole visual appeal of seeing Maiden live. Adrian and Dave just play the damn songs without cartwheels and gymnastics. Goofy Gers!

Are you serious? Bruce has been wearing goofy stage outfits, running around stage, jumping around, making jokes, literally dancing at times, and being overall fun and silly for 4 decades now. Why is it any different when Janick does it?

This is true. I was on the floor well towards the back when he made eye contact. It was weird, like he picked me out of the crowd. Hadn't realized how powerful and strange eye contact is before that.

I think they hadn't the heart to let him go when Bruce and Adrian came back coz he's such a nice guy. I met him once in Dublin walking around nice fellow, I was a starstruck... We were going to the gig that night, he asked where the river was so he could get to the gig in what's the O2 now... Great day, great night...

Never much cared for his goofing stage persona or his playing styles. I had always hoped after Smith came back with Bruce in 99 that Janick would go away. Bruce I feel is the reason he got to stay.
In my opinion he has written the best songs for me though.... So strong disagree

The janick fans probably never seen maiden when it was just adrian and dave so they dont realize how pointless janick is. Threes a crowd as they say. It was way better when dave and adrian worked together with their contrasting styles, their chemistry was incredible which made them one of the best guitar duos ever. They didnt need gimmicks like prancing around, swinging guitars, etc. Their playing was the attraction. And why does janick play adrians solos? Sloppily i might add. Look i respect steve harris being loyal to the guy and janick is well loved by the band, plus i know he contributes to the song writing but maiden were better when it was dave and adrian.

@@jlobiafra Totally agree with you! Iron Maiden were so much better both musically and technically in the 1980s, when Dave Murray and Adrian Smith were the only guitarists! Dave and Adrian complemented each other perfectly! It's no surprise they played so well together as they'd known each other since they were 15-16 years old. They were a tight duo that fed off of each other and played perfect solos! Adrian Smith and Dave Murray rules!!! 🎸🎸🤘🏻😁🤘🏻
