Unique that they did their dance sequences for best costume design at the Oscars back in the 70s!!!! This was cool back then. Now, if they did it in 2012, I think someone responsible would have gotten slapped!! :)
I think the last time they did it was in 1990, when Driving Miss Daisy won.

The man taking Sean Connery's place in "The Man Who Would be King" was a regular dancer on "The Carol Burnett Show" and pops up EVERYWHERE on TV during the 1970s. Interesting that the one dress from "The Four Musketeers" was not actually designed by Yvonne Blake..... Raquel Welch insisting on having all of her clothes done separately by her own male designer, her bust heavily accentuated unlike every other female in the movie who were dressed in period appropriate gowns.
You got it wrong. The script called for her cleavage to be displayed on several occasions in the two films, and it played a pivotal part in two very funny gags. And as Faye Dunaway wrote in the book, the corsets they wore were so authentic that if Charlton Heston was made to wear them, he would also have cleavage. Raquel hired Ron Talsky because he was her boyfriend then and he is listed as a nominee along with Yvonne Blake. That's why the yellow dress she wore is featured in this presentation.

Unfortunately Ulla-Britt died 9 years later only 41, reasons unknown. She could have a bright career like Milena Canonero.
I read an Swedish article about her death, had to subscibe because it was behind a paywall.
I'll translate and post you a snip that quotes her son, Lars-Martin:
"The 1980s meant lots of jobs for Ulla-Britt Söderlund. It also meant that her alcohol abuse increased, says Lars-Martin.
- She drank a lot. At least that's how I perceived it at the time, he says. She found it difficult to combine her habits with her demanding work. In the end, she had to begin to turn down gigs.
Among other things, she had been interested in Roman Polanskis film Pirates, but everything had ultimately fallen on Ulla-Britt's drinking. In the spring of 1985, she fell ill and was hospitalized. It was found that she had cancer.
Lars-Martin was never told that the tumor had spread and that the situation was serious. He set out to backpack by train the same summer, was gone for a month and returned home to Copenhagen late in July. At the last minute it would turn out, because that same night his mother died in the hospital, just a few weeks before she would have turned 42."
In the article its mentioned that she placed high standards on her textile work, and that she was a workaholic. The part about alcohol starts off as a comment that showbiz is a business where alcohol is often consumed.
They also write about how her services became very in demand after winning the award. Apperantly Lars Martin and his father spent one year in Ireland and England for Barry Lyndon.
She embroidered every single button by hand for some 38 costumes in the movie. So dedication was her middle name.
I was happy to have found an answer to the question many have been wondering. I also added the cause of death to wikipedia, English and Swedish.
The article was from 2016, I would credit the journalist, but I happen to disdain Swedish journalists, haha, so, whatever, but atleast we finally learned the truth.
