  • Join me (Mike - Physiotherapist) in this video, as we go through some dynamic stretches/mobilisations.
    Here is the routine:
    Shoulder Rolls - Alternate - Forward & Back - alternate 2 x 5
    Shoulder Flexions x 5 each side
    Elbow Bends x 5
    Wrist Circles - Clockwise and Anti-Clockwise 2 x 5
    Back of the Neck Touches x 5 Each Side - Alternating
    Back of the Lower Back Touches x 5 Each Side - Alternating
    Neck and Lower Bad Touches x 10
    Hello Morning Stretches x 5
    Chest Opening Stretches x 5
    Toe Touch Stretches x 5
    Adductor Exercises x 5
    Knee Extension x 1 Each Side with 5-Second holds
    Ankle Circles - Clockwise and Anti-Clockwise
    Leg Swings sideways x 5 Each Leg
    Leg Swings back and forward x 5 Each Leg
    Calf Movements x 10 x Side
    Rotations x 5 Each Side
    Side Bends x 5 Each Side
    Bum Kicks x 10 Each Side

    I've already commented on these dynamic stretches--they're great. PLEASE, think up more dynamic stretch routines. I can't tell you how many times I return to this routine, always leaving revitalized, supple, and feeling oh-so-good! Thanks again, Joe!...Anastasia

    This is so wonderful! I haven't done much dynamic stretching and I love it! I've added this into my daily stretches for the past few weeks and what a nice extra bit of stretching to have daily! Many, many thanks again for all that you do for all of us!

    Doing this one again, a year later...one of the things I like about these shorter workouts is that they provide success experiences...reinforcing doing them. Thanks for putting together such thoughtful videos.

    The standing package of 8/30 exercises is wonderful. This one ended with dynamic stretches. I totally enjoy all your stretches, and do all 3 prescribed ones (AM, 4 EVERY DAY, PM), but I especially enjoy the dynamic ones because I can readily feel that I'm exercising as well...Anastasia

    I am so thrilled to have found this excellent, comprehensive and convenient group of exercises. After realizing it was unrealistic to attempt things I did years ago, I wasn't sure where to turn. I searched for exercises for seniors, and voila, I found this. Thank you so much. Now during these days of social distancing, it is even more relevant. So nice to do without having to leave home or invest in expensive equipment

    I love starting my day with this dynamic stretching routine and then following it with the Hips or Lower Back exercises. I'm increasing my flexibility and even more importantly, my alignment! Thank you Mike, best exercises for those starting out or with injuries. Also appreciate the pace, deep breaths and calmness throughout.

    Hi Mike, This is a lovely routine but unfortunately after you say the words "let's get into it" the sound gets almost totally muted. I don't quite understand this as the beginning is fine. I wonder if anyone else has mentioned this? If there is nothing to be done I'll just follow on as I watch you! It's not critical so don't worry about it. Was only curious if it is just me that is having problems. Have a wonderful day. xx Eve

      Hey Eve. A few others have also mentioned this to me particularly in regards to several older videos. I have recently been working on improving the sound in newer videos, hence why this particular video/several older videos may sound like how you described. You can however turn on subtitles by pressing the 'CC' button down the bottom of the video so you don't miss anything that is being said. 🙂
