Fun fact: "Skillingsbollen" was initially a popular German pastry that the Hanseatic League brought to Bergen in the 16th century.
Thanks for sharing!
and it probably once cost a shilling. Bolle meaning bun.
@@almost_harmless : Yeah, you are probably right.
Brødkake (lit. bread cake) is also fairly limited to Bergen. It was the brown one with white topping in the shot at the beginning of your Baker Brun visit. Similar to a spice cake.
The food looked quite good especially the reindeer hot dog! I really need to visit Bergen one day!
That hot dog was even better than I expected! Bergen is lovely, I highly recommend it.
Bryggeloftet is definitely a really nice restaurant. A bit pricey, but well worth it, especially the reindeer fillet and the cloudberry pavlova.
I'll need to try those next time!
I think I would enjoy the Bergen fish soup. 🥣 The hot dog looked good as well.
Everything was SO good!
Love how this turned out! Had so much fun with you in Bergen! :)
Thank you for your advice and I had so much fun with you!
Calling it a hot-dog is literally a Bergen thing, because to us, the dish is called that. In the rest of the country they call it "sausage in bread" which is a silly name.
So it's in fact not only correct to call it a hot-dog in Bergen, it's *extra* correct.
Love this! Thank you for sharing 🤗
Great vlog! Keep up the good work! Greetings from Oslo!
Thank you so much!
Norway is so interesting . Watchin from Costa Rica 👋
Hello! Thanks for watching. And yes, I love Norway and wish I could spend more time there!
take the left over kumpa the next day, cut it into 1/4" rounds and fry it in butter til its golden brown and crispy........wait for it.......wait for it........and dip it in sugar, its nutty and sweet. amazing.
I'm still thinking about that Bien Basar dinner, so yum
SAME! Every bite was delicious!
You’re the best
better than most, congrats
Again love to watch your eating vlogs and what you showed, time to go to Bergen (Norway) not Holland! 👍🥂
I need to go to Bergen, Noord Holland! I only found out about it because when I was in Bergen, NO last time a man there told me about it because he lived here for a while.
Did you know that cinnamon has no taste? that's when your nose kinda fools you, this is one of the foods you only smell most foods and drinks are tasted by your tastebuds to and supported by the smell organ sometimes your nose does the job, mostly both work together but not always
I had no idea!

Baker brun sells buns that are made at the factory. Bad choice 😢
I followed local advice. But I know everyone has their favorites. Feel free to share yours!
