Funny you made this video, just ordered zealios 62g switches three days ago! Coming from a k95 with brown switches, I found these felt the best.

That Mendo shoutout though! I love that guy, been a fan of his since the Overwatch days. I saw that he had a Nightbot command for his keyboard and I was looking into the TOFU that he got but didn't know what switches he used, now I know! @@DrHades-kh5xm I now know this is true. I have the anne pro 2 with the gaterons (knock off cherry mx) and I like them better than the cherry mx. They are so smooth and still give a little feed back. Am loving this board along with the switches.
nah cherry are straight up mediocre they have no interest of doing anything other than continuing to pretend to be "the gold standard" or "premium quality" and dont get me started on cherry mx browns almost seems like the people who like cherry browns have never even used one
@@kosta1605 no such thing as a knockoff anymore. Cherry's patent expired years ago now. Their connector has essentially become a standard in the keyboard world which is awesome so we don't have twenty different types of proprietary switches

I also went from MX Browns to lubed 67g Zealios! So far I'm loving these. The heaviness is something to get used to, but it is a major improvement. The sound them make is amazing. I saw you had the GMK Cyberdeck keycap set on the side, which is what I'm using too :D

Honestly, I swapped out my 65g springs for some 45g ones and this keyboard feels so dang good. They feel so much more responsive honestly. All the tactility is still there but its such a smoother travel to the bottom. You should try it out if you can.

I've been using the 65g purples for a year and a half. With o-rings and pbt keycaps they sound and feel great.
HECK YEAH! Try out some tealios also! Smoothest switches factory right now! better if lubed with thick lube and you could get someone to do that for you.
You can still get NOS Yellow Alps from Taobao.
Best stock MX switches aside from Nixies though.

@@haffa0905 As I've said, you should try picking up NOS Yellow Alps from Taobao (not sure if there are any on Aliexpress). In my experience they feel fairly similar to Green Alps, although I have never used NOS Greens

@@eklipz2413 I have FEI Switches which are recolored Milky Gat Yellows, IMO almost as good as Nixies, about the same as lubed Tealios in my experience
I got a keyboard with hot swappable switches, and ordered it with Hako Violets. Ironically, I love the Hako Violet switches too much to replace them lol.
Can you do massdrop alt vs gmmk 60%? I heard the gmmk switching gets looser after 4 to 5 switches
The GMMK doesn't use Kailh hot swap connectors. It uses cheaper connectors branded with QMSEN. I was also unable to find these connectors online. The nice thing with the Kailh ones is that even if one gets loose (they are rated for 100 swaps) you can simply desolder the single connector and put a new one in.
I recently picked up a Ducky One 2 Mini with Cherry MX Blacks and I hated them at first. I even thought about putting another order for a One 2 Mini with Red switches. But these grew into me fast. I started loving them at like the second day of use. Now, I don't think I'll be back to reds. No accidental clicks with these. Key presses only when you really want them. They are really nice to type on too.
I had my eye on these and the pro purples......think I'm gonna go with the pro's instead, thanks for the review.

I have an ALT with Zealio V2 as well, they are the best if you like strong tactility that starts at the top of the keypress. Another switch you might like is the Kailh Box Jade or Navy switch for their even stronger tactility, they are a clicky switch though so that can be a deal breaker for some.

Hey man, how do you feel about Zealio's for gaming? I want to get a drop ctrl & add some zealio v2's to it & primarily game. Debating which one to go with, since I've heard some say 67/78 are too heavy. I currently game on a Pok3r RGB with MX Blues.

BT, do you experience a pinging sound when typing on the ALT? I just got mine with Halo Clears and I believe the spring on the switch is causing that sound as I don’t need to bottom them out. Considering getting into the Zealios if they are that much better than the Halo Clears.

You should try the new re-tooled cherry browns they are insanely smooth. I got two ducky one 2 mini's,one with the older switches and one with the Re-tooled browns and they feel like a completely different switch!

The weights measured on the zealios are bottom out forces, not actuation forces. I know, I thought so too. But 62g bottom out force are about the same as the cherry reds or browns, and if you want to, get 55g springs which are even lighter then reds
I hesitated building zealios v2 since I joined the hobby because I read that it's hype.
Recently I built a board with them and it's my favorite tactile. I love boba u4ts but zealios v2 hit differently.
You will get bad apples with high pinging but you have cherry pick out ones without high ping after you lube and film them.

I picked up the 78g and my only complaint is the ungodly amount of spring ping. I definitely need to lube them, maybe then they’ll be useable lol
How do these compare to the zilents v2? I DO love tactility just like a rubber dome where its right at the top (and kind alike a kaihl chocv2 brown).
67g Zealios are great, I have no problem gaming with them, but the 62g I think feels nicer to game with as they feel a bit lighter. For typing I would take the 67g over the 62g every single time, the switch with 62g springs doesn't feel nearly as refined as the 67g springs. Lube them with thin layer of GHv4, Tribosys 3204, or 205g0 and they will shine - even smoother and they will have a better sound signature. Also, putting retooled Cherry top housing on them will make them sound a bit deeper and less high pitched.

How do you deal with gaming on a board without the F keys? Most of the time I don't use them, but I'd need to map Alt+1 to F1 etc or something. Just wondering how other people handle it.

Try a switch tester and see what you think. If it’s too light, go for MX blacks. Too heavy, MX reds

luckydudds hey lucky! Lubing isn't necessary but it gives your switches an even smoother feeling and they sound even better! Id say it's worth it :)

Zeals are rated at bottom out force and Cherry at actuation so a 67g Zeal is not much different in weight from a 45g brown except they are much smoother than Cherry switches and are more tactile
