Here in the United States and in Australia the number one mix with Maltese is with Shih tzus . The Malshi! The cutest thing ever.

I have a Papitese, she would trip over her ears if I didn’t get her regularly groomed. Cutest thing ever and smaller than a Maltese. Have had about 30 offers to take her off my hands but…love her to bits and she’s a mummies girl. Honey gold color with a white head and blue ears

i have Mal-Shi or Malt-Tzu its a mix between Maltese and Shih Tzu, amazing dog with long hair mostly white but has colorful ears and around the head and very friendly :)

Yes that's what we have she looks more cavalier than malti but despite her tiny size she has a big personality, loves people not so keen on most dogs.
Not that many years ago these was a genetic condition in Cavaliers that had something to do with an abnormality with the brain stem that almost always killed them. All to over breeding. Then new breeding rules were put into effect in England, Norway and other countries to Not breed Cav's with known genetics, and it was to try and stop this deadly condition. 👉🏻 Did that come up when getting your dog? If not, perhaps the MIX didn't carry the genetic flaw, or yours's was one of the Cav's that came without the flaw. WHEW, sorry, but I am trying to figure out if this genetic issue is still a problem. Hope your dog is doing well.

How do you clean their eyes. My dog is so white
Change their diet, mine has chicken and rice with veggies and just wipe their eyes with salt water daily. Make salt water half teaspoon salt and half cup of hot water, cool down till warm and use makeup pads. No tear stains in this house. Only found out it was her diet when she got sick and could only feed her chicken and rice for 2 weeks, stains pretty much disappeared on their own.

What about the Malshi aka Maltitzu? This is a mix between Maltese and Shih Tzu. My Sully is 11.5 years old and has weighed exactly 7 pounds for 9 of those years. He has worked as a therapy dog for many years and thoroughly enjoys his job. Today he is helping me as a full time companion dog. He walks up to 2 miles daily with his other mother who keeps him physically and socially active. Sully’s official name is Solomon, named after King Solomon to give his short little body some stature. If I call him Solomon, he becomes the alpha and obedience becomes a choice. Sully is a very arrogant fellow and I love him to the moon and back.
