Buying this so i can get clapped by a random kid playing at 40fps on a 60hz ancient laptop display 😎

It's not the car but the driver.
After 144hz nothing matters mate, it´s all about quality of life. 240hz/360hz/480hz will all be smoother for your eyes but that´s it, it won´t make you play any better, while 60hz objectively handicaps your skill because 16,6ms is too much
@@GeorgeCardoso-mh2ei"smoother for your eyes" translates to "easier to see and track". That objectively makes you able to play better on average over a long game session. This is considering you are already a VERY good player. Framerates >144hz is useless to some players, but can absolutely push a top 1% player to a higher rank.

been using this monitor for a few weeks, really good stuff
Monitors are second most expensive thing in PC industry after GPU.
nonsense
Highly disagree. As long as you're not buying cutting edge tech, the prices of some monitors will shock you
@@Joshua_Uwadiae so Oled 27inches with 240hrz refresh rate is cutting edge technology
@@dexter8962 OLED is currently the most expensive panel technology, and it's nowhere near the most widely adopted. The correct statement would have been "OLED monitors are the second most expensive..."
@@Joshua_Uwadiae now i know you have no clue about technology
I have alienware ultrawide qd oled. I had it for almost 2 years and it will have to be something revolutionising for me to switch. However, for people with lcd monitors this would be an insane upgrade. Good review!
@@strawz_gaming do you have any signs of burn in or uneven wear from playing 16:9 (as I see you have a CS profile pic) after 2 years? I got a 32 inch 4k oled but the AW 34 is now on a deep sale so I'm doubting on returning the 32 inch for a 34 inch. Im scared of burnin/ uneven wear as I play a lot of comp shooters. 32 inch also feels massive.
@@QLMTA no burn in that i can see (checked with gray and red ,green, blue backgrounds). Amazing monitor and ultrawide is extremely useful
really hope this or the asus 4k 240hz oled go on sale for amazon prime day
unlikely. If price is the concern, go for the MSI and you won’t have any regrets.
Lol things only go on sale when they have direct competition that is regularly in stock.
@@ThisIsExile91also, overstock that just sits there for years.
I recommend the Alienware display because it's curvy
@@masterbuilder0018 don’t like curved screens
Crazyy❤
I am jealous of you, man !
So lucky you get to keep the monitor ☺️
I’m excited for asus 1440p 480hz coming out this fall/winter
you can already get 1440p 360 hz oled, why would you need anything more than that? lmao
@@MyouKyuubi bc it’s actually a bigger difference in clarity 280hz and 360hz are damn near identical while 480hz you can actually see the difference it’s pretty crazy
@@AwwMizi no, dude, if the GAME ITSELF doesn't run at 480 fps, you're not getting that extra motion clarity from 480 hz.
360 hz is already overkill, 480 hz isn't gonna change anything... There are very few games that will ever run that fast. :P
@@MyouKyuubi no need for all caps you twink I play cs2 overwatch and other high fps games at 1440p i easily get 500fps so yeah I will get extra motion clarity :3 :P
@@MyouKyuubi no duh I only play competitive shooters why you using all caps you grown weirdo touch a mil do something else
Whats crazy to me is how all really good OLED monitors look like the video was edited in when recorded from a camera.
Fire
Trying to reach the full 240hz on a 4k is crazy…
It can be done on highend systems fairly easily if you don't care for ULTRA settings, I usually go medium preset, g-sync capped at 225fps :)
This is a great 699$ monitor! Also you get deeper blacks than QD-OLED, because the LG crushes blacks insanely hard, while QD-OLED keeps the black level stable where only 0.0 nits is pure black.
What speed are the USB ports? Does this monitor use a power brick/AC adaptor? Which side of the monitor does it plug into? Which side are the usb ports and DP/HDMI ports located?
Will you do a review on the Predator X27U F3 sports when it releases? 26.5-inch WQHD OLED, 480hz, 0.01 ms pixel response time, 1440p
I'm predicting the regular retail price for this will be $800 in 1 year. I can wait.
Maybe if it would be a Samsung lol
What I do to avoid burn-in is to have my taskbar only on my secondary LCD monitor, my OLED monitor has no taskbar or desktop icons at all.
The only thing I haven't figured out is to how to hide the Chrome URL/bookmark/tabs, those things are an issue especially if you like web browsing all day.
Do you feel any improvements in competitive shooters? Better reactions due to fluidity
Nice video. Thumbs up. Quick question. Which COD is currently mostly played now a days? Thanks in advance.
Also, 4:08, what game is that?
Does the LG have a fan?
I do really wish LG would release this with a glossy display and USB C option. Dolby Vision would have been nice too. I Much prefer the clean designs LG offers and I really value the quality built-in speakers as I use them throughout every day on my current 4K non-Oled LG monitor
the only thing that's stopping me from getting this as someone that would enjoy the dual mode feature massively, is the PPI at 32 inches 1080P, I feel like that would look really bad, currently on a PG27AQN, thats an IPS 1440P/360HZ so i feel like the "downgrade" to 1080P at an even bigger screen size when using the 480HZ mode would potentially bother me, any comments on that?
It is factual knowledge that a glossy coating will always and I mean always look sharper than a matte coating. Matte coating "mudges" the pixels of a screen
Why don't you use a PC with 7800x3D which can easily average 480+ FPS at almost all times in Valorant/OW/Siege? That way you can truly gauge the monitor's potential. Since the monitor has a 1080p @ 480Hz mode clearly for "competitive gaming" purposes, you should've compared it with other competitive monitors like BenQ Zowie XL2566K using ghosting or motion blur tests.
Also what about text clarity vs equivalent 4k LCD based panels? Could've covered that side by side in depth.
I also heard that the scaled down modes look weird.
How is 1080p stretched over 32"? One woukd think it appears blurry?
So is 1440p capped at 240hz too?
Just got this monitor. I play mostly WZ. What do you cap your 4k frames at and do you run 480 mode on unlimited or capped as well? I have a 7900xtx and 5800x3d
@panjno bump
if only this was smaller i would buy it in an instant but 32 inches is too big for me
I have a question if someone can help me out a bit. Looking for a new oled monitor. Is the new Samsung odyssey g60 oled worth it. Or should I wait for the new asus 480hz that normaly should come out soon? Playing shooters, solo games and here and there some youtube videos. Let me know what I should do
Would you say it crushes blacks or exhibits banding?
If the monitor is improperly tuned, then yes, all improperly tuned oleds crush blacks and exhibits banding, like crazy.
But, with a bit of research and effort, and some fiddling with the monitor settings, you can fix that. I'd recommend looking up your monitor on a website called "RTINGS", it's got "ratings" from all manner of products, though mainly TV's and Monitors, and usually, they have a properly tuned ICC profile (colour profile) for that monitor in question you can just download and use. :)
I'm using an MSI MPG 271QRX, it had some issues with banding, but after i noticed rtings have downloadable ICC profiles, that problem was solved, lickety split! :)
I ended up getting a Neo G8 recently and it's absolutely insane, I'm not changing the way I use my PC because I became an early adopter for tech which will drastically change in a few years.
I only need a 1440p 120-144hz oled panel...
I don’t see vvr in my settings how come ?
Did u use g sync?
do you know that there is a lot of input lag when you swap to 480hz? You can watch Linus's test on it.. the latency was very bad at 480
Honestly you should've left the ui and as many static elements on so people would know how long it would take to burn in. I understand why you didn't, but thats the one thing alot of OLED reviews dont cover is how long something will take to burn in and with you playing 1k+ hours it would've been the perfect test.
need 24 inch oleds
There some reviews saying this display has the worst matte coating u can get at the moment
You really think you are going to notice it? Also what does even worst mean
I jusy wanna know is it smooth? Thats all i care
It's incredibly smooth! (Having used 1080p 360hz, 1440p 240hz)
Obviously, it's an oled
@@xalzor740 never own one that's why I'm asking
Im software ingenier, oled scary me but its perfect for work (4k 32) and play cs2 (24 480hz mode).... Also for photo editing in my free time i shoot weddings
you should try lossless scaling
It's in this video :)
does not work with hdr
Can u check if 480hz mode consumes more gpu power so that it drops fps (for input lag) vs 240hz
What?
lol what
@@justinstewart3248 it happened to 480hz and 720hz 1080p mode or anything higher than 4k 90hz
Base ramdac consumes more power when 1080p 360hz or higher is on, which takes away power for core boosting clock
You can think it is same as 8khz mouse polling rate takes up more cpu usage vs 500hz or 1000hz
Great review. I'm still trying to decide on getting a OLED or Mini led. ( I really not liking the possibility of burn in).
There's drawbacks to either tech. If you don't mind waiting a few years then microLED looks very promising paired with an IPS panel. If you're going for miniLED then make sure it's IPS and not VA otherwise if it is VA you'll have a lot of problems with making out details in darker scenes and black smearing.
I got a mini led recently and I'm replacing it in a heartbeat for an OLED. Can't stand the blooming. The HDR is fantastic, vibrant and alive but any dark content kills it and your eyes in the process.
@@dripskydrip I just ordered the Alienware 32" 240 htz 4k OLED. It was on sale. It comes Friday.
Non issue unless you use it like a maniac. (Leaving it on, on bright elements with 100% brightness 8 hours a day for months)
$1400 let that sink in
i have to disagree with one thing and it has been bugging me for years People who play FPS games competetivly are saying that resolution is not important and the fps is more important however this year i have switched to the new msi oled 4k 240 hz and i have to say the switch from 120hz to 240hz while nice is not as impactfull as the resolution change to 4k the abiliti to see the enemy much sharper and clearer over long distances (even in CS) is making a huge difference.
Would i go back to 120 hz or even 60hz no never but would i go back to 1080p also never.
Funny because I have one of these 4k OLED displays. I choose to play on 1080p as everything seems so small in 4k. Yes it looks crisp but I play way more consistent on 1080p (mainly CS2 and Valorant)
@@QLMTA i do play with the monitor very close to my face like really close
So this maybe makes the difference when I sit very close I do see a big difference in sharpness and the size doesn’t make a difference at that distance I mostly play cs2
@@QLMTA What was the point of buying a 4k monitor then. You could have just bought a 1440p oled.
the 1080 resolution is extremely blurry
He reached end game 😔
Two more stops ahead: 1 khz and 10 khz
I feel like listening to a ad
because it is an ad , there has been many people covering this monitor and many had mentioned the conc , i heard none of that here.
well i guess it is simple -> send for review -> good review ? -> keep monitor.
Regardless if its an ad or not its still a top monitor with very very few downsides.
Crazy good display, but you can clearly see that this is a sponsored video lol.
I have been using this monitor (LG 32GS95UX-B) for over 2 weeks, it is not a bad device, but the advantages of an OLED (if you are used to LG c2, c3 or Apple displays like the Studio Display or PRO XDR) do not really come into their own.
Glass or glossy would simply make the colors pop much more and the font would also be much sharper on the LG 32GS95UX-B.
I hope LG brings out one with a glossy coating for the next model at the level of the LG C series models, that would simply be a DREAM!
Not a bad device? I mean you can give it to me if you dont want it, it would be perfect for me. 😂
Samsung heat-pipe=Gamer Over.
Shits just too expensive. Then u blink and we have the next next gen of 600hz oleds
Didn't have a screen burn problem?
so no optimizing?😞
Some tips and tricks later in the video.. as always :)
@@Panjno you should try hunt showdown if you havent. It's my favorite game on the market but i only get around 100-120 fps due to my gtx 1660 ti so an optimizations for that would be awesome

I think its bad for reading cause it will have burn pixels as i think?
No lol, maybe if you read the same text for 12 hours every day, also it has to be white text
OLED is nice, but if I'm gonna be dumping half my life savings and 3 kidneys out, it's gonna have to last me the rest of my life
1080p on a 4090 just feel´s wrong
I won't buy OLED until we get 24inch 1440p 240Hz+
Yeah... I'll stick with my LG 240hz monitor I got for $150. I'm not spending $1,300 on a monitor lmao
Gets the best monitor of the year. Plays Valorant and Starfield (and other average games) 😢
starfield is ass but ya gotta test it on shooters.
@@MxrkJJ I would test it on games that implement proper HDR and achieve 450+ fps - games like Ori and the Blind forest or Microsoft Flight simulator and Spiderman. For visuals in general Forza Horizon 5, Horizon Forbidden West, Hellblade and Cyberpunk (as seen) come to mind. I will admit it - I judge online people's taste in games - seeing Valorant is breaking my balls Stan.
@@notmedudethose other games you mentioned require massive ammount of calculation by the gpu and cpu. They don't run at 480 fps bro
@@para9mm I meant Ori for fps and HDR. The others (like flight sim) purely for HDR.
@@notmedude yes, and this was a 480hz monitor review. Aka it's meant for comp games since those are the only ones that will reach such frames lmao
This thing is too expensive.
This video feels a lot like its only made to please LG and to make them let you keep the monitor, I just purchased this monitor and yes I do have the exact same interest as you do, am interested in high FPS competitive gaming at 480hz and great visuals for non competitive gaming at 4k 240hz, but am seriously disappointed by the color accuracy out of the box and its VERY Weak brightness in SDR. I am gaming for the first time in HDR in competitive games just because in HDR I can get a little bit more brightness out of this monitor, If I knew before buying this monitor that the colors are not great and the brightness is this weak I would have not purchased it.
1080p at 32 inches will be atrocious.
Yeah the pixel density will be sh*t right ?
Doesn't matter for competitive games
