Howard wrote this song and the record when he was depressed. I watched a lot of videos and I could tell he was, I found it odd how they say pretty much everyone thought he was fine.
It has a very "Save me, Jesus" feel about it. At least, that's how I interpret it. I kind of hope that was part of it, it would be awesome to share a faith with Howard.

I really do hope Howard is a Christian. I relate more to Jesse because he openly states that he is one and writes his lyrics based upon his faith, so if Howard was able to do the same, I would be able to relate to him a bit better than I had before. :)

Well, Jesse is definitely a Christian, he even openly talks about it. Howard, from what I hear, said he had a Christian upbringing and used to attend Christian festivals but I don't know where his faith stands. However, judging by songs like Save Me and the lyrical progression through End of Heartache, As Daylight Dies, and KSE2, it seems he's returned to his faith. :)

I think this whole album was overshadowed by their warped tour appearance. This is prob howards most emotional performance on this record. EOH is a masterpiece tho.

I'm still bummed, that there's no live performance videos for this song (I looked, diligently), as it's one of my favorite KSE songs. The chorus vocals and riffage is so epic. Just a powerful song and the video is hilarious, too. Can y'all call up Howard and have him come through for a live set, do this song and some others, that may not have been played, live. I'm all for progression and for moving forward - sometimes change is necessary and not a wholly negative thing - but there's nothing wrong with looking back and celebrating, what was. Just my thought because I really want to see this song, live. Tell Adam to get his cape, ready, pizza cape!
