- This is how we have connected up our water tanks, shurflo trailking 12v water pump, sink and mixer tap in our self built camper... neither one of us is a plumber so bear in mind it may not be perfect but it works for us.

First class workmanship as usual Louise. You won't know what to do with yourself when it's all finished 😂.....Jim👍
Thanks a lot 😁👍 no u r right, I'm just glad I have it to get on with whilst we r in lock down or I would be going stir crazy! 😁
We live on a narrowboat so we’ve been getting most of our stuff from the chandlery’s! Usually a lot cheaper than caravan and motorhome places too 😊 (pronounced like candle but with ch then add a ‘ry’ to the end). Joining the two tap pipes is also a good idea to stop legionaries disease forming in the stagnant water. Love the sheer excitement from you both when it all worked 😁 we know that feeling from when we tested the electrics yesterday 😂
Thank you, I don't know which was more satisfying, turning on the tap or flicking the first light switch! Thanks for watching 😁👍
Amazing job!! You are so intelligent!! I am so impressed!😊
It’s the little things that help like the great idea to plumb with a t on both tap pipes and the remind you will have to run both ways to keep pipes clean, it’s nice to have the option to use any taps as this gives you more options then the simple caravan/ boat taps you can buy.
👍👍👍
So impressed! I’m pretty handy but plumbing scares me. This makes it a tad less scary. Well done.
Bellend and flux capacitor almost made me spit my tea across the living room 😂. Cracking job 👍
😂😂 Flux capacitor made me laugh when she said it lol! Thank you 👍
Great video thanks. I now feel quite confident to do it me-self….except for cutting holes in the floor; that will be a moment to savour I'm sure.
😂😂 No problem, the holes in the floor are scary lol!! I measure a hundred times!!
Your doing a great job, looks really good
Thank you 😁👍
I came here to work out what fitting to use to connect cold water from the pump to a mixer tap. Question answered, thanks for your help.
So glad you found your answer from our video 😁 thanks for watching 😁
Thanks for this video Iearned what I need to do on my van
Great work girleen
I could use a helper like Emily to clean up while I work. You're lucky, Lou!
She is lucky
Your van is awesome , proper nice 👍
Thank you 😁👍
Loving going trough the videos . Your doing a great job ON YOUR OWN . Well apart from the clean up crew arrive for 30 seconds lol
😂😂😂 Shes getting more involved now it's finished lol! Glad you like the videos 👍
I REALLY like the tap you went for. I’m thinking I might need a tap now, don’t think I’ve got enough room but still 😏
Haha, thank you 😁👍
Another crackin job lou 👍
Yeah she done alright 😆
I'm binge-watching 👍👍 Kepp safe from Warwickshire 👍 I'd love to see you can in person, if that's 👍.
I agree the rain has been crap, thankfully it's slowed down now.
Haha, thanks, I'd skip the early ones tho, they're not very good! Sure, when this pandemic is over and we r allowed out lol! You going to camp quirky at all?
Not at this stage in our build just yet but I'll save this was as a reference :D
Good luck with your build and thanks for watching 😁👍
Absolute classic “ Bellend” not heard that for years. Lol 😂. Is there no end to your talent, “Oreo cheesecake” hope you just used a spoon and a bucket. Sounds lovely.
While she’s just making a mess in the van.
Not simple at all, you just make it look like it is.
Stay well girls. Cheers Paul
'bellend' has made a comeback to my vocabulary since I started this build! And it wouldn't surprise me if she did use a bucket and a spoon, I tend to avoid the kitchen at all costs! Thanks for the ongoing support Paul 😁👍
9:50 the sunshine is coming in🌞😊
Just in time for when we can't go out! 😂
Plumbing and no Leaks Great Job
Thanks Ray 😁👍
Happy days ..now you can fill the kettle in the van and have a cuppa tidy job again girls ..I know Lou does technical stuff butt you always need a helper well done..can't wait for yous to start on mine . Haha
Haha, this is true! And what a helper I have 😁 thanks for watching Gary 😁
Looks like it was a genuine surprise when the plumbing worked first time
It really was, usually for me nothing goes right first time!
You got a 'like' straight away for your comment about it not raining for the first time in 9 years 🤣
😂😂
Great work ladies we`ve only just found your channel a week or two back your making a great job of your van I love the way your adding your own touches its all well and good going for the factory finish but I prefer yours it shows more of your personalities , Louise you certainly know your DIY young lady very good how you sorted those hinges rather than just buy more I`m just at the stage where I`m about to start putting stuff back in the van after ripping it all back to the shell could I ask you a couple of questions , I`ll await your answer before asking thanks
Thank you so much, the factory ones are just no good for us, we need the floor space and they tend to just cram everything in. Of course, ask away 😁
I want one of those taps in the kitchen in my house!
Amazon, there is page with all the links on our website www.campervibe.co.uk 😁
Very helpful
Good video. Nice job 😀
Thanks David 😁👍
@@campervibe im not sure weather to do something similar with mine or just an in tank water pump as my fresh water rank is just going to be under the sink.
Excellent vid x
Thanks 😁
Love the channel guys! This was obviously a domestic tap you fitted? We would like to also for something similar but though we had to buy a campervan tap which are mostly boring looking. What are the key parts we need if we want to fit a similar domestic tap? I heard that the pressure is an issue if using standard taps in a camper and obviously we would need to adjust fittings.... we have bought the shurflo pump and have 12mm hot and cold pipes... keep up the good work!!
well done very nice
Thank you 👍
As per when I’m looking to change things in the van, I have a look back on your vids. New tap is the way now. Great tutorial video on this, makes it soo much easier. One question, what’s the T- Junction for the flexi pipes. Has it got a name I can Google to get one.
Cheers again 😊
well done Louise.
You can use a 1/2 "hose between the pump and the acumilator tank also one after up to the tap, reducing the possibility of leaks next time ,,
Ps love to hear your 2 laughs.
w love stay safe.
Flexi Flexible Kitchen Basin MonoBloc Tap Connector Hose Pipe 1/2" x 1/2" 60cm length
Thanks Michael, I had terrible trouble sourcing the parts I managed to get, left it all a bit last minute on a weekend lol! Thank you for watching 😁👍
@@campervibe It's also easy for me to say, plumber and carpenter for 30 years. ^ _ ^
But still love your videos and how your van looks.
@@michaelolsen7867 thank you, and thanks for watching 😁👍
Hey, great video thanks! What connector did you use to take your waste trap to the smaller corrugated pipe for the waste tank please?
Great plummer💪⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Kicking butt 😁😁
Hi, love the videos. Just wondering about the tee piece for the tap tails. Is that a compression fitting that the speedfit is pushed into please?
We’ve followed you guys for ages and really enjoy your videos, thanks for doing them.
We were looking at your “fanny” and have a random question. Have you found your black tap reliable and would you recommend it? Ta muchly. 😃
Hi how does your pipe counterweight stop moving about, I’m trying to fit my but I thing it will rattle about to much. Cheers girls, awesome channel you have 🥾⛰⛺️🙌
Love the video, so much info! Can I know where you got the sink and also how you reduced that waste pipe down?
Thank you 😁 the sink is a smeg umd30. Have a look at pvc step adapters to reduce waste down, they may help. I managed to cobble something together from bits I got at a plumbers merchant designed for a bath waste trap but I'm not sure what you would call it. Hope that helps.
Outstanding
Thank you 😁👍
Amazing! Is your switch just for your pump motor or does it go to the tap?
Great work as per usual.
Do you know how many cup fulls of water you get before the accumulator kicks in?
An accumulator is a must for a van build IMO.
Thanks Mark. Absolutely no idea 😂👍
Been gradually working through your back catalogue of the build. Quick question: where did you get your sink from? We thought we’d found one in ikea today, but after paying for it, we both came to the conclusion that it was oversized - we’re putting the kitchen on the door side with the sink at the seat end, and it worked out there would be nowhere for the blooming tap to go. I know Emily keeps tabs on everything that you’ve spent, so wondered if you could rattle her brain as to where you got the sink. Anyways, can’t wait for the next Norway vlog. Jaye.
Hi, where did you get the waste pipe fittings please? To go from the sink to the flex? Cant find what i need and its doing my head in!
What pip are you using? Also what size it?
The moment you called yourself a bellend, I clicked subscribe. 🤣 It was great to see someone show mistakes that could be made and points to consider. Weve decided to buy our first van to convert and other than flat pack ikea beds, my knowledge of anything like this is pretty shitty so this video is probably going to save me throwing my toolbox across the back garden 🤣 I'm off to watch some of your other videos now theyre spot on, cheers :-)
I'm considering a water boiler, do you have one and was it a pain in the arse to fit please? 😁
Hi Paul, bellend isn't used enough these days lol! 🤣 I like to put the mistakes in because it's real. We don't have a water heater so can't comment I'm afraid. Good luck with your conversion, it's so much hard work but really is worth it! 😁😁
@@campervibe its so good to watch, I've watched so many that were made to look piss easy and I'm thinking that cant be right or there not normal 🤣 ive took note of your pointers so cheers. Oh and oreo cheesecake. How nice is that tho? 😁
Oreo cheese cake is the food of winners!
Hi wheres the tap from? Thanks
I am bereft as there are no more videos for me to watch :(
Fantastic work, I look forward to the next installment and also to a detailed tour of the finished van. It looks absolutely beautiful and might just convince my wife that she could livein one for a couple of weeks at a time :)
Haha, thanks Roger. There are a few more to come yet, usually on a Friday or a Sunday or both. We will do a van tour when it's finished.
what sink did you get? the dimensions look perfect!
Hi, it's a smeg umd 30.
Looks great guys, Louise, you are fast becoming the Greg Virgo of the fairer sex. Great content and explanations of installs !
Thanks Pete, high praise indeed! Although I think Greg does it much better with the details, I just make shit up lol! Thanks for watching 😁👍
Hello again, google keeps throwing your videos at me and they are super helpful at that. Do you know if I can use a tap like yours with a baby whale foot pump? I dont want the whole water works but I want a posh tap ;)
Hi there, so glad you find the videos useful. I'm really sorry but I have no idea if it will work with that pump.
Hi there, the Hose Barb T Shaped that you use can you send the link to where you got it? I'll appreciate the help.
Hi there, I didn't buy it online I just went to my local plumbing shop and asked them, if you screen hot it and do the same they should have one, just take your tap and maybe a piece of pipe so they know what size you need. Hope that helps.
@@campervibe Hey I appreciate it, I did just that and was able to get it at my local plumbing shop. I'm doing everything myself and your video was extremely helpful. Thank you!!
No worries, glad you got it sorted 😁👍
:)
Thanks Jon 😁
I think a lot of those who watch but dont subscribe dont have CZcams accounts so they can't sub to channels. ;)
That's a very good point actually!
