30,000 police officers will be deployed across the country on Sunday to prevent unrest as the final round of voting gets underway.
Three politicians say they've been attacked while campaigning, including a government spokeswoman and a candidate from Marine Le Pen's far right National Rally.
It looks set to become the largest party in parliament, but its hopes of securing an absolute majority appear to be fading.

The British guy spends the first five minutes complaining to the candidate that there are no immigrants in the district and the next three minutes showing a bunch of immigrants and trying to stoke fear about National Rally. This kid seems smart and I think it's pathetic that the left is conspiring with the so-called centre right to deny him a seat.

Among the 67 million strong French population, 12-19 million are recent immigrants, legal and illegal (we don't collect statistics based on ethnicity so we don't know exactly). And you know what ? France needs another 60 million of those under 45 over the next 25 years (2.5 million per annum) in order to keep the share of retirees by 2050 at the level it is today (which we already find hard to bankroll). But no politician will dare tell the truth. Brave new world.

@bsingh8888 I think he overall asked some really good questions. How does immigration affect the community to the degree your party claims. How the changes in french politics has shifted people from LR to RN and are you in that group. I don't think it does any good to simply glaze someone. Especially because the RN is an extremely controversial party with positions that stray greatly from the traditional norm. Good journalism is about asking the tough questions and how people respond gives good insight into their character.

A country with no borders, out of control migration and illegal immigration trying to have a sovereignty, security and safety is not Nazi and not even a Fascist. A country does not grow but the people do. As the people grow that affect the land and resources. What would happen to the children and grandchildren of their citizens if population and migration are out of control? What country you are going to have if you sacrifice your family, children and grandchildren futures for the sakes of foreign migrants and illegal migrants? A country is no longer a country with no citizens rights, sovereignty and borders.
The whole tone of the presenter in tne opening piece makes it seem like it ludicrous to be concerned about the demographic change in france that will put tne Muslim population of france being a minimum of 13 % ( if all immigration stops tomorrow ) or about 19 % if it stays at its current level by 2050. That would mean France would be one fifth Muslim by 2050. Tbis has alread changed what france is and would further do so and from the non Muslim perspective not for the better. Vietnamese budddhist and catholic immigrants ( also from a countrys with a bad colonial history with france ) have integrated very well and the rally has no issues with them as a group. Yes it can be unfair to judge people as groups but in tne end when people identify as groups themselves and the average behaviour, living pstterns and beliefs of such individual make up the average of the group, well its gaslighting to pretend otherwise. Thst group identity matters , both to the in and out groups
To talk about the negative effects of immigration is 'Heresy'. It needs government funded high quality research and strategy to address the problems they find. I am not alone in fearing civil war in Europe if governments bury their heads in the sand. We have become complacent.
