    Federer's last 5 Grand slam results -
    Wimbledon - Final
    USO - QF
    AO - SF
    FO - 4th round
    Wimbledon - QF
This would be a dream grand slam run for any top 10 player even now. Even at his end he was competing at the highest levels. His longevity is so underrated. All while nearing 40.

Watching this match i did get the dreaded feeling that we could be nearing the end...especially as he was playing on one leg towards the second half of the match. So grateful to have seen all the highs and lows of this incredible man and his 🐐 career.

You guys do realise that this was the last tournament before Rog decided to undergo knee surgery ? It’s a miracle what kind of tennis he was still able to put on including the first set against Novak in the semis. Of course, now we know it was the beginning of the end as clearly his body would not allow him to come back afterwards. At the Australian open 2020, Federer‘s body startet giving serious signals that it had reached its limits.
