Thank you R.Dan for an excellent upload and clarification of sometimes hard-to-comprehend sizing method of the Lacoste "Alligator" polo. They aren't exactly cheap, so it's important to get the correct size especially when buying them online.

Nice video! Two day ago I took a "SLIM" (REF. PH4012). I normally use a size L, but here I took a "4" (M). I like the length of the shirt, which is above average. But, I would have preferred the same length of the sleeves as the classic model (which has them longer). However, the SLIM was definitely better on me (I tried them both, Slim and Classic). In the shop, there were no other models, but only SLIM and CLASSIC (L.12.21), which are the 100% cotton models. In "4" I'm "exactly": after having spent 80 Euros I am motivated to continue the diet hahaha. Wanting to take a BLACK polo shirt, I preferred to take one of a well-known brand for having guarantees of color retention over time. [made with google translate, sorry]

Classic = good for tall athletic body
Regular = good for average, rounder tummy
Slim = good for slimmer body, shorter torso

I feel the classic fits more tight than the regular fit. I always have to order a size larger if it's classic fit but with regular I just order the size I normally get.
Hi, i just want a little help as i am buying it for my dad. Wanted to know if i should get M or S for him as his chest size is 40. I saw lacoste size chart and Classic S is exactly 40 so would S be okay?
Hi yes Classic L12 12 should be ok as it comes slightly loose.

I would recommend to go with XL, as in XL chest circumference measures 44-46", I think XXL will be too big as it comes in 48-49" chest circumference.

Yes XXL should be ok, stay close to your body.

@@juliuscharlestorres1752 I’m 5ft 8 and about 190lbs. I actually fit fine in a classic fit size 5 and I already purchased the slim fit polo in a size 6 and 7. The size 7 was a little too big and the size 6 was a little tight. I may just stick with their classic fit polos

L12 12, size medium would be okay. If not size large in Paris polo.

I think XXL slim fit would be ok or XL on Paris.
I prefer Fred Perry polo shirts. But Lacoste make some classy polo shirts. P.S. Polo shirts are meant to be worn close to the body, not like these American loose and baggy Ralph Lauren neo preppy street wear polo shirts.
Every cotton polo shirt I have ever bough, it either in the trash or donated. They've all shrunk to the point that they no longer fit. That's why I wear golf polos, but they fit like CRAP. If I paid $80+ for a rag, I'd be pissed.
Same here, shrunk to the point that I can't raise my arms without showing off my midsection. Switched to LLBEAN.
Wash 30° C and dont tumble dry.
Make sure to hang them on the shoulders when wet, so they can hang down straight and they shouldnt shrink on you at all

Agree that's why you get a bigger size
I had a few Lacoste polos for around 8 years now, and they all didn’t shrink at all.
