      ***** console are more expensive take into account how many $60 games you buy every year + have to pay to play online. while pc playing online is free, theres always sales on steam, humblebudle, steam keys and even free games. Heck I bought fallout 4 for $37 on the first day it came out.

    • @flyingfish555
      @flyingfish555 Před 6 lety +15

      It's almost impossible to screw up, because almost all of the connectors are all keyed (the only ones that aren't are power/reset/indicator leads, and the manual will tell you clearly where those go). Of course, it's better to read the manual and understand what you are doing rather than just connect things willy-nilly, but the latter usually still works :p. I've had more trouble with IKEA furniture than putting together computers.

      You can build pc's for $350 that perform as well or better than current gen consoles. Less if you go used. $500-600 will get you a pc that can run any game 1080p at very high/ultra settings 60fps+

      so it sounds like a cpu issue or a memory issue. how many ram sticks do you have? if more then 1 try just using 1 dimm instead. switch to the other. if its not that try removing the cmos battery on the mobo and putting it back in. if that doesnt work try taking the cpu out and inspect for bent pins. if not resocket it and try to see if it turns on.

      if you have it keep using it. unless you can purchase everything for about 350 bucks i wouldnt bother. the 1070 is a better value and the fx-4300 doesnt make sense for its pricelpoint. you can go on ebay and pick up a computer with an i3-3220 for about 120 bucks and it would do similar in performance as that processor. you would have to purchase a new power supply, storage (or just add to it for instance adding an ssd for a boot drive then using whatever it came with for storage.

      By music producer, you mean music production right? Well if so then your pic doesn't have to be at all demanding, just shop around for a latest generation (6xxx) i3 or i5 cpu and an equivalent cheap motherboard with the features your looking for ----- pic part picker is great. Next for your ram your simply gonna need between 8 to 16gb of ram but I would recommend 16. Next get your self a cheap but capable graphics card, a Nvidia GTX 950 or GTX 750TI or even an mad RX 460 should all do you fine, just choose what's cheapest and best for you. Next i would recommend a good sound card just shop around for something in the $50-$70 range. For storage go for a 1TB or higher western digital blue or black hard drive and a 128gb ssd for your operating system and sound programs but save your music to the 1tb hard drive. Next use A online PSU CALCULATORS -- just search google to find an estimate of the power your gonna need. Once done buy a PSU with around 50-100w higher from either EVGA or corsair

      Your build looks good but there's somethings that need to be improved...
      Firstly, you need ddr4 ram not ddr3.
      Secondly, you should look at getting an ssd then you can install your operating system on it.
      And for a motherboard I'm not from the US but you should look at getting a z170 motherboard but make sure it will fit in your case!

      The Athlon *might* be a bottleneck. I'd go for a FX-4350 (at worst) or if you have a little more, an FX-6300 and a more expensive motherboard. You want to get a reasonable quality motherboard to keep speeds up.

    It depends on the PC case. The white Storm Stryker case is insanely complicated. The last time I build a PC was back in 2005 and now on March 23 of 2018 I just finished with building a new PC using the Storm Stryker PC case and it was very hard but I was able to do it all by myself. I was lucky because the power supply I got was easier for cable management and that power supply is the kind where all of the cables had to be plugged into the power supply instead of the cables built in the power supply.
